Oh, how precious is this?
What a darling picture!
I always think of 'Bonnie Blue'
from 'Gone with the Wind' when
I see a little girl with horses.
This is a wonderful entry!
Blessings...

AWE ... and somtimes they outgrow them and the little pony moves on to teach someone else to ride. Friesians are the most beautiful horses in the world... (I'm sure that's the image of one on the video). Sigh. Sweet little poem :)

Hello Sally!
Wonderful one line poetry the meaning of which can be interpreted to apply to numerous situations! I love when a poem can do just that! Your offering resonated with me on a number of levels, and I thank you for sharing!

This is quite a stunning presentation. The video is a wonderful feature that introduces us to how fortunate we are to have animals like this. The horse is one of the best and most helpful animals in this world. Thank you for sharing.

It seems like the horse is smiling and understands. I don't think she has to "grow into" the horse as the horse will adapt to her. Thanks for sharing - best wishes in the contest!

Thank you for the excellent review and comments. Yes, little ones generally start with ponies. It's too difficult to ride a full grown horse. My dad rode with me on my first outing. Sending you my best today as always,

How could I not give this a six...I have loved horses all my life. I rode my first one when I was four years old at a circus in Germany. The audience children were able to come down and ride a group of them around the ring. I have never forgotten that experience. The one I rode was black and my brother rode one of the white ones. I was blessed with being able to have several different breeds of them long ago, and I still miss them all. Love the video as well! Thank you for sharing. :-)

Thank you for the beautiful review and star shower, dear Janet. I'm delighted that you enjoyed this. I started with a pony, but always wished for a horse of my own just like this brown mare.
Sending you my best today as always,

I really admire the passion behind the words. A poem of one line leaves one with a lot of challenges to convey a complete meaning within those few word. And you just did! Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

This poem could have a couple of meanings. If it were looked at metaphorically, it could be that she saw the preciousness of her horse. She saw all of the loyal characteristics. She wished to be that way. And it could be the more obvious, that she had hope to grow enough to be able to ride her on her own. There is a sweet poem.

I like the emotion you have put into such few words. The presentation is good. It is hard to have something potent is such a short piece. You did well. This was a fun challenge. Thanks for sharing yours. Hope you read mine sometime.
