This meets the contest requirements splendidly as you deliver a well penned piece that speaks to love's betrayal eloquently. This is a story played out far too often in today's world as men tend to go after youth rather than appreciate the abiding love they have right in front of them. Good luck in the voting and thank you very much for sharing it.

Thanks for your feedback. Some men do seem shallow - focusing on looks rather than devotion.

What a sad beautiful poem about betrayal. How can you fall in love, then fall out of love? Where does that love get buried and rediscovered by someone else? UGH. Love is all a woman wants. We want exactly what the other woman wants. How the man doesn't get that is beyond me.

Thanks for your review.
Men really are a different species. Our expectations seem doomed to be different.

Been there! Went to counselling and my therapist almost had to shake me to make me admit that, yes, this creep who used to work in the ministry, was cheating on me. You express this so well. It flows beautifully.

In the ministry! I guess they are only human with all the failings that can involve, but I always expect a higher standard. That makes the betrayal even worse - no integrity to you, himself, or the Lord.
