What's good for the goose is good for the gander... she has had to become conscious of her own belly so she wants to rip his out.
Sports lovers are obsessed and go crazy if someone interferes with watching.

Your poem proves how sports can ruin a person's life. If a person is so sports minded it seems they really aren't open minded. Its your way or no way. There should be no such thing as age discrimination when it comes to music or the love of sports.

I dated one of those in college. He was a high school football coach and he lived and breathed football. I saw from the start that I was playing third string. Then when I saw how his fellow coaches treated their wives, well it was time for me to throw in the towel. You really vented well in avery clever way.

This is certainly an interesting piece. You did a good job with the sports related word play throughout. It's an intriguing concept weaving romance gone bad with sports, but I can see where the commonalities exist - especially when it comes to passionate zeal. Well done and thank you very much for sharing it.

Thanks for your review. It went off in a slightly different direction to how I initially imagined... I certainly did not foresee the woman getting pregnant!

Since the beginning of the year (when I made a New Year resolution to commit) I have established a very good work discipline with writing... in fact my 'scolding' persona has to tell me to STOP writing and do something normal like go outside for a walk. I have written more that 200 poems this year!

I was impressed myself when I counted them up! Obviously not all of them are good, but i was happily surprised to see how many I do rate myself as being good ones.
(I would be pleased if you just said the same things over all the time... other reviewers do!)

I have a particularly thick skin, Judy, fear not, I don't offend easily. In fact I can't remember taking offense as I think everyone's point of view is their own responsibility.
