Sally, I think this is an intriguing flash fiction. This mysterious traveling doctor reminds us that. We might entertain angels unaware. This looks like a winner.
Blessings,
Elaine

Impressive, Sally. As I was reading this, I was thinking she just might win with this one. I thought that you entered it in the contest for in a tavern late at night.
I was struck by your knowledge of Irish food and the little details you offer for the tavern. Your ending was absolutely energizing. It made me happy.
Nice job, Sally.

Thank you so much for the excellent review and kind encouragement, dear Debbie. I had a nice vacation and concentrated on my writing. I write every day but don?t publish it all. I?ve learned had to store it better and retrieve it for later use even if it?s just an idea. This was one of those. My muse is active these days and won?t let me be! Sending you my best today as always, dear Debbie.

Sally, you have done a great job on this story of spiritual beings bringing divine blessings. I like the two parts ... the doctor/angel as he drives in and the life of the tavern owner. Both are equally well written. An enjoyable read.

Hey Sally. That is a really NICE story. I don't mean the word nice to be condescending or silly. There are so many stories that are not nice. This one incorporates faith, miracles and a belief in God. It is a quick and very easy read but that does not diminish the value of the story. I love stories like this one. Robert

Thank you so much for the excellent review and compliments, dear Robert. I appreciate the sincere review so much. I especially enjoy writing faith-based pieces as I love the Lord so much and want to show by readers a glimpse of Him through my eyes. It blessed me to hear of our shared faith.

Thank you Sally. I enjoy our conversations.

A lovely tale well told! Miracles do happen even in this day and age, we're just often too cynical to recognize them for what they are. Best wishes in the contest!

This was brilliant Sally, I love the mysterious Doctor, who studied in heavenly university of the saviour. I had several when younger, saving my life in some, I never saw them, but heard them. Mostly when I was agnostic. Well done, superbly written, yes, they appear, and disappear, as mysteriously as they came. Well done, blessings, Roy
Typo : Upon return(ing) the harried owner...

Hi, Sal. A good flash fiction here. In fact I think it may be a winner, my friend.
You have captured the color of the tavern very well indeed. Also, you have made your characters believable in a short period of time. Good luck with this one. Bob
Suggestion: I think you may have a typo in this sentence: ""Naw, just observant. By the way, how is you son? I hope he is feeling better." (your son)

I enjoyed your contest entry, Sally. You did a great job with its premise. I do believe angels are among us. Your story shows that in a great way. The clues are all there, but they are subtle. Your story sounds great in the Irish dialect, too. Thanks for sharing testament to true faith.
Best wishes. Jan

Sally, this is a very good write. Sometimes I think you have an angel whispering in your ear (and I don't mean your Hubby) :) I used to be able to write like that, the words would just roll on the paper. Now I write on the computer and I'm all messed up. :) This is a very good entry for the Flash Fiction Writing Contest.
