Your well-written nonet is appealing and reassuring. The Bible states that angels are ministering spirits sent by God to people. It would be natural, though, to react with fear upon seeing one.

Wow, I'll admit, there's not many nonets I've read that are this deserving of a six from me. Outstanding in wording and the perfect form. I'm a stickler for form when it comes to nonets. Let alone to mention the fantastic presentation. You chose the perfect color font to accompany this awesome pic. Boy, it looks like she's been working hard protecting you. Lol. Excellent nonet entry for this contest. I wish you the very best in the committee's decision. I think you have a winner here, Lynda.

-Good artwork and
presentation, LyndaS.
-Note is appreciated.
-The syllable count is
good, and the form
is perfectly shaped!
-I like your opening two lines.
-The rest of the poem
is also good, as you continue
to develop your ideas.
-Good luck in the contest.

Comment from Cass Carlton
The artwork is highly emotive, isn't it? The angel doesn't look all that happy with her assignment. She looks rather annoyed and dishevelled with her wings in a sorry state. One could write a story about that without any trouble at all. The poem is well written with the syllable count exact, but the words suggest an angel sent to do a job she would rather not do.
One must ask "Why not"? She has obeyed her Master, but one wonders what kind of care she will offer. It seems to me the angel needs looking
after too. There's definitely a story there. Why not give it a whirl? cheers Cass

She's worn out from protecting a 67 year old woman who just won't quit. LOL Thank you so much for this insightful review. You get it, which is so cool. I saw this picture and thought, "Yep, there she is. Exhausted but still on the job." This rating is incredible and I thank you for your time here and great comments. Lynda

Excellent post. I generally prefer poetry that rhymes, however because of the nature of your poem, I'm glad I read it. This post says a lot about guardian angels and our Lord Very understandable.

That fallen angel in the picture is looking somewhat bedraggled, she's moulting her feathers, is down on her knees, her hair needs brushing, her sword is rusty (I know it's blood and fire)... she sounds like ME (except I have short hair and am not blonde and beautiful... maybe she's YOU?)
OK, now for the poem: It is wonderful! I thought I had a 6 but someone stole it. God comes first as a protector, but there is always room for other special people who feel moved to offer us assistance. Unless I have got the whole thing 'cock-eyed' and what you are talking about here is a condom?? You know... protection?? By blessed grace you won't get pregnant. HAHAHA!!!

Ha! Ha! You crack me up. Yeah.... that's what I meant. LOL!! Blessed grace means not getting pregnant. LMAO!!!! Sex on the brain, girl. Too funny. I loved this picture. It's my guarding angel working overtime and damn near dead from it. I wrote this nonet for the picture. In truth, I meant every word. Thank you darlin'. Lynda

Yeah that's me, 'sex on the brain'... my mind is fucked. (nothing else is.)
-
This may not be the perfect vehicle for this conversation. LMFAO!!! Shit, you crack me up!

You are right. Stopping now.

Great words here in this poem, and great choice of artwork. I especially like that the guardian angel says do not be frightened, and that it's been assigned to guard you. I like that she says she has s need to go this, and that it's because of God's grace and love. I guess this just means I like everything you say here. Well done!

Awesome! Thank you so much Ms. Stanley. I love when your written message gets through. I just updated my author notes. Not all guardian angels are gossamer beings. Mine is a warrior. I'm sure I keep her working overtime. LOL! I so appreciate these gracious stars and I'm so pleased that you enjoyed this. Lynda

This the bloody sword in her hands. You?re welcome! May your guardian angel continue to battle for you!
