I'm all out of sixes ... this is sublime, no words can surpass that feeling of poetry. It is with deep movement we hear these images portrayed again and again with so few to hear but you have the voice of them all.

In my opinion, a startling write, in emotional and distinctive expression of the ultimate violation, within, and without. Narration is clear and in
the precise detail that one can only hope will be relieved in time and extended comfort by those, who absent understanding, of such a horrendous event, can still offer comfort and refuge - a remarkable and fluid free verse depiction of a crime of unequalled measure in that existence may continue, regardless...

You are very welcome indeed. I was not as articulate as I might have been in my review, because your words affected me deeply, and I was at a bit of a loss. Although I have never experienced such a horrid violation, as an extremely sensitive soul, I can empathize...Eve

Wow. Powerful poem. I admit I did not see the twist at the end coming. You did a great job describing the plight of this woman and created an emotion of immense pity. Good job!

You are welcome! I enjoyed it. I would love to hear your reviews of any of my work yes! I have not received much feedback on my poem ?Earth?s Legacy? I would appreciate a critique of that one.

Let me get home and I will do just that

I see her, too. Through the gentleness of your thoughts and words.
I think I know what you mean by "she does not want pity" and she wants to talk. I suppose she'd like to be hugged with the embracing warmth and reassurance of sanity - genuine caring.
This song came to my mind, or maybe I heard it after I read you. Any way ... God bless you. And keep writing!

Wow! This is powerful! I did not see the ending coming until it smacked me right across the face. It was a very good idea not, to let on to where you were going with this extraordinary poem. The line above the title is very appropriate for this piece. The definitions of her; her style, her smile that wasn't there, her lost grace, clutching her purse so tight her knuckles turned white... All of it is engrossing, and carries me along, at the edge of my seat. It's like a book I couldn't put down, I kept going not knowing where it would lead. Robbed of her dignity, power, and grace by the rape. The kind not spoken of. Yes, we see her everywhere, and are maybe not aware, of who she was, and now, who she is. Well written doesn't begin to give credit for this special work. Thank you for sharing. I need not know whether this is fiction or not. It tells a story that deserves to be told.
Take care, Jesse

Jesse James Doty,
This review was so humbling. Your words tell me my work was worth the timidity of deciding how and when I should write and post. I am quite honored.
Thank you very much. Words cannot express my deep gratitude.
Again thank you

This is wrapped in the intensity of emotions restrained and open. I felt the fear, the apprehension, sadness and anger. You have done a good job bringing the topic, the victimization and survival instincts to the forefront. A difficult topic to write about but you have managed to give power and a voice to the subject of rape. Intense reading.

Okay, Jimi, 'bought time you brought your amazing talent back to FS to share. And yep, I know this gal all too well -- I suspect a lot of us do -- women, that is. There could be more to the story than hashtag 'me too', couldn't it... Much more. Maybe even most of a lifetime...
