HAHAHAHAHAHA. You have no shame, LisaMay. Pun after pun after hilarious and entertaining pun. This was a perfect start to my Sunday morning.

I agree; you ARE an amazing treasure, and I can't wait for The Lucky One to show up on your scene. Please keep me in the loop! xo

I am seeing stars!! thanks you so much Rachelle. This poem is giving a few laughs to people, unfortunately because they recognise past boyfriends on the list.
I just spotted that your Jigsaw was equal winner... in my world it was a standout solo winner. Well done, great story.

Oh, yes, definitely I have a few old flames on that list of yours!! lol

And you little sweetie, you! Thanks for saying that about Jigsaw! You always know how to make me feel great about my pieces. Thank you for that. xo

I think you will be featuring in many of the contest results and I may not always check them to see who won, so if I neglect to mention a success in future, please do not think I have withdrawn my love!

Lol. Okay, that's a deal. You crack me up.

The one I like most ...and you left us dangling ..Cliff. Perhaps he hung wallpaper and was a cliff hanger....lol I smiled at this list....here's the thing stop looking ...when you do that someone will materialize...but in The meantime work on being the best you, you can be.
God bless and hugs

Yes he may well have been a wallpaper hanger! Clever. Thanks for your review Jenny.
I have stopped looking... ages ago. Mr Right will have to fall into my lap all by himself. I hope I recognise him and he isn't damaged by The Fall.

We?re all damaged by the fall. That?s the thing.

Sadly, too many folks are out searching for a soulmate settling for what they think might work out and then find they have made a big mistake. Patricia

You are absolutely right Patricia. In this poem I have tried to cover as many ways as possible that a girl could be disappointed by an unsuitable man that she got involved with... selfish, vain, violent, unfaithful, thoughtless, incompatible etc. etc. It's safer to pull up the drawbridge, retire to a safe place, and enjoy reading and writing.

Okay, Beautiful Lady, here's my first 6-er of the week -- this is so dang deserving!! I giggled and rolled my eyes and remembered men I hadn't thought of in forever.....and I'd rather not discuss some of those emotions - LOL!! ;) ;) You have outdone yourself with this one....and, he'll find you, when you're not looking and you least expect it!! ;) Thank you so very much for sharing, ma'am - you rock!! ;) ;) Yvette

That's a great start to my week, thank you Yvette!
When writing this, I kept thinking of different ways a girl could be disappointed in love, getting entangled with an unsuitable man. Sadly, there are so many ways and most women would recognise a few of these chaps.

Hi Lisa,

ROFLMAO!

This is a great write. And so true -- it's tough to find "the one," isn't it?

I absolutely love your ending, as you are opting to literally and figuratively rewrite your fate.

Nothing amiss here for me to suggest you consider improving upon.

Thanks so much for sharing your work,

Jan

Thanks for your review Jan. I had to look up what ROFLMAO means.... now I know (I feel so modern!!!) and it is a sentiment I thoroughly approve of!! If it happened at my place it could get my floor cleaned, lord knows I never get round to doing any housework when there is silly poetry to write.

And when you can write such entertaining poetry, I'm surprised the men aren't lining up to date you - although it seems from the poem that perhaps they are! lol I do hope you get 'discovered' soon.

Like I said, it's not autobiographical!
I haven't been out (or in) with a man for nearly 3 years.

You were quick off the mark Dolly! Thanks for reviewing.
I think I'd rather stay at home writing imaginary friends than dipping my toe in the (hot) water again.
