Yeah Bro I was prep0lacing it and replacing it at $AUSD50 a go. Now I am saving with the nail polish. I painted the keys again last night. Thanks.

This is funny. I would not have thought of using the clear nail polish. I would have gotten my husband to buy me a new computer. It's amazing how there can sometimes be a simple solution to these problems. I don't think you need quotation marks. You've double-spaced, so that should make the speaker's identity clear. Sometimes people use different colors for the different speakers, or you might try setting one of the speaker's remarks off in italics. Fun piece, and best of luck in the contest. judi

Thanks for the advice and the idea of the colours might work on that. I re-painted the keys again before going to bed last night. I got tired of buying new keyboard and mouse Wireless sets at $AUD50 a throw. Sigh!

Thanks Ulla I was not sure whether expression marks were needed as there were none in the contest example. SOmeone suggested new letter sets from Amazon but I just re-did the nail polish last night before I went to bed. Appreciate you coming by.

Working constantly can make the keys become worn after time. So much work is done on the keyboard we don't realize it till we are looking down and suddenly they have disappeared.

Hi old friend. If you look back you will see I got in another contest with a poem about this. But I know you are right. Check in Geoff's Musings for the poem. I seem to be getting into Contests on here after all these years. Where have you been? Thanks for the heads up on wearing out the keys.

yes I am a 2 or 3 finger typist and these days I make more typos than ever before. Thanks for being the first cab off the rank, Bro. Did I do right omitting expression marks? There were none in the example?

Thanks Sasha so were you doing that before my tech gave me the idea? Also I noticed in the contest example no expression marks so I hope I did that right.

I just googled it and you can buy replacement keyboard stickers. At least in the US you can. Can you do Amazon? I found them on Amazon by typing in computer keys to the search menu. Maybe something to look into?

Thanks Meaghan (sp?) I think the clear nail polish is probably cheaper hehe. Good idea though. Might look into it for the next keyboard hehe. I was not sure I had to add expression marks for this there were none in the example for the contest.
