As i said before i already picked my favorite but this one holds a second with the fun and the sing/song flow you used. Especially loved the last line...looking for the boy with his voice.lol

In my opinion, a resounding - YES - a delightful and fun poem for children and the adults who may be reading it to them. It certainly is as worthy a rhyme as any of the popular children's poems in print today and yesterday...

Comment from His Grayness
I found this work to be very lighthearted and delightful. It is very well packaged and presented in coloration and artwork. The flow of this work is very smooth and easy to follow, so it is a delight overall. I cannot suggest anything to improve this work and thank this author for a fine read! HIS GRAYNESS; Vance

Thank you for the kind words that followed your read and review. I hope you will take a peek at the rest of my alphabet kids in the book. Just a few more to write and I will have the full set. - Wendy

I really like this. I think children will certainly enjoy it.
Question: When you write, "Yo-de-le-hee, oh-de-le-hee," are the third syllables in each phrase to be pronounced "lay"? I ask because, if so, you might want to write it that way. So few children anymore have heard actual yodeling that I think reading it as written might take the correct sound out of it.
Otherwise, wonderful piece.

Hi emptypage and thank you for the read and thoughtful review. Actually, I sang it as more of a leh than a lay and in the Sound of Music it shifts from lay to leh to lee depending on the position in the phrase. So I wasn't sure just how to write it. I suppose, if anything, I should write it Yo-deh-leh-hee. Obviously, this needs some more pondering - or I'll leave it to the parents and kids f to sing it what ever way they want. ;) - Wendy

The Sound of Music was my reference point! One of my favorite movies!

So cute! Love that last line. LOL! The first line is a tongue twister. It took me a dozen tries to get it right. Did you do that on purpose? Kids love those. :)

I must confess to smiling just a tad when I thought of the parents reading it aloud for the first time. I looked up Swiss surnames that start with Y (aint life with Google grand?) and Yergler was one of the few. So on purpose through necessity I will say. Thanks for peeking and reviewing. BTW have the number of questions upped since my not so subtle plugs? - Wendy

Thanks again. One in particular is a new reader who said he heard about it on the forum. Not more questions, but more readers... and that's always good. :)
