It is an amazing event to be informed and encouraged by a dream. The opposite is to be frightened by a nightmare. They both occur at night while you are asleep. The one dream you keep and hold on to it dear, the other you try to reject for who holds on to fear.

Lunas, I really like this very much as I too feel that my dreams are a gift to help me in times of stress and trials. May your new year be blessed. Patricia

Luna,
I have read several of your poems, and this is not a favorite - but then I am more a fan on concrete things. *smile* But I do like the idea of going to sleep and waking up a better, wiser person. hahahaha! You are welcome to give me heaping helpings of THAT! hahahahaha! Thanks for sharing!

Hi robyn, this Poem was inspire
by a Celtic medieval song, and I frequent renaissance faires constantly.
I'll try to keep what you said in mind though as I'm writing going forward.

I liked the story and the verses but I thought that the title of the poem did not show through .I also thought there could of been a rhyme or two to keep the flow going between the verses. coop

I love it when you revisit and rework old poems. You see them in a different light a new interpretation from your original muse. Great image to be inspired by or did you write the words then find the image?

There is a dream like feel and flow to your words. You take the reader to another place. I like the image of riding on the unicorn and meeting fairies. I also like how the sun and moon are live characters in your words. Excellent free verse form.

When I was 11, I had a pair of binoculars and looked up to the moon, and the moon wasn't just bigger, it was better. There were mountains and valleys and craters and shadows. And it came alive. Thanks for this moon poem.

That's so cool Bill. I'm a cancer and that explain my fascination to the moon
Me, however, always waited for the constellation Orion to appear and we would converse literally every night i would bore people, before climate change, in the frigid December, January and February nights making them look úp into the sky until they could see my hunter friend.
Thanks for sharing your person stuff with me, Bill.

Nice photo that complements your poem perfectly. I think at Christmas time you miss your son most. In your dream castle you found several things. You went through several doors, then in the end woke up in your own bed. It is a beautiful free verse.

The magic of dreams -- anything can happen in a dream, and here it does and a series of magical door open onto a series of visions that cause changes to take place in the sleeper who awakens with with a deeper understanding of the mysteries of life gained in the dream.
A whimsical piece of free verse with occasional bursts of rhyme. Other devices include imagery which runs through the whole and occasional alliteration.
