A very nice Nature 5/7/5 haiku - nature indicated in your first line. Lines l and 2 interconnect perfectly and your third line is a good satori. Good luck in the contest. Lovely picture. Regards Dorothy x

It's always hard for me to comment on these short, shorts, but you did a good job with the few words you selected. The image is very calming and you paired it with just the right words. Hugs, lou

We almost went to Cancun for our honeymoon this year but we had to buy a car so that put it on hold. My husband said he was going to surprise me next year but something else came up so it's on hold again. Maybe one day I'll get to experience it but until then I'll read your words and try to imagine myself there. Great job

Stimulating calm is as fine a satori line as you can get unless you discount it completely as an oxymoron. Yes I know it's only a 5-7-5 and not a proper haiku and sometimes the present participle is ruled out - I often wonder on what oriental authority. But I just love the idea of stimulating calm.

This 5-7-5 about nature, Warm Waters, creates a nice visual with the water color and sensation of its movement. I'm not sure if you intended the oxymoron in your final line, but it works well. Happy day.

Ah, yes, warm tropical waters would indeed be both stimulating and calming this time of year.
Choice of Aquamarine" makes it easy to visualize these waters. Also, such water color is found in few places.
I especially like the oxymoron you used as your "ah ha" statement in line 3.

Comment from Gloria ....
You have most successfully delivered us not only a paradox but also an oxymoron.
Stimulating calm. Indeed it's with the wave and troughs that we experience all the beauty of life.
Best wishes to you in the contest.

Love your words, they appeal to the senses. Today is a cold day and the feel of warm water is a good feeling. Excellent use of words and haiku form that creates a feel for nature.

Your poem made me think of the time I was able to float in the Carribean Sea. The colors and the warm feeling of your poem are good.
Well done.
