Oh, how clever! You had me fooled till the last line, but of course, the one who gave you the vote! My favorite lines "I think all here would agree that
This girl is a bit of a brat
She gives paws for thought." Ah!

Thanks for the lovely review, Amada. It was a fun competition to enter. In light of the talent that is bound to show itself, it seemed appropriate to resort to anything to get an edge - like bribery :)
All the best,
Craig.

What a funny contest...of course I would never divulge the object of a secret crush, on FS or otherwise ;)
Clever rhymes, nice idea to string together a series of limericks. Love the "fill in the blank" options!
the Sixth one is the funniest, in my opinion.
nice job!

It looked like a fun contest, so why let a little thing like no crush get in the way? Even if it meant making up one... or two... or three...
Thanks for the positive review, Carol :)

Never let reality intrude if it gets in the way of a good time! ;)

(Blushes from me... There I was, getting into the game all excited ... going ... ooo, ooo, I know this one-- it's Cat! ooo, and this one, too... good ol' Mikey! And Gloria too, Yay... But the surprise for me, I got to be in this one. I get to be special! A risk, as I'm not as well known as the others, but it tickled me silly.
I may have mentioned this before, I believe-- how there's this news show I listen to where this guy, Bill Curtis, reads news-related lymerics and the listener gets a chance to fill in the blank, so I enjoy playing the game of fill in the blank, and caught on very quickly. I went with six stars because I was having fun even before I got the extra-beaming boost of being able to put my name in the blank.
Here is my confession
Here's my confession? (at least that's how I read it in my mind's eye with the beat)
the 'paws' was a nice touch/ play on words clue,
And the last verse... a real clever slip in on woooing a passerby reader into being elevated in heart by giving up their every-coveted 'love' first by pressing the love button in the voting booth.
(all smiles here. : D

Glad you enjoyed, Turtle. I'm hoping no one takes umbrage - wouldn't want to offend anyone. I'll have to google this Bill Curtis guy and see if there are any clips out on the 'net somewhere. Thanks for the tip, I'm going with your suggestion re the "confession" line. Thanks so much for the very generous rating, too!
Craig.

Aaaaaagh, I love this tongue-in-cheek, clever, well penned limerick. I could find no fault with this, and am sure it will do well in the contest. You certainly have my vote, but have I won your heart??

Comment from ~Dovey
I couldn't find a rhyme for ~Dovey in there anywhere, hence I was crushed lol
The last stanza was a stroke of genius, but I may have to refrain, unless a rhyme for ~Dovey might be found ;)
Actually, it was brilliant, but don't let that go to your head! Good luck in the contest!

I tried to find something to rhyme with Dovey, but after lovey, I drew a blank. Guess I ran out of steam trying to find something to rhyme with Limb and whim ;-)
Thanks for the good wishes and great review.... Kim.

Hi Craig
Quite a piece of work. So very clever, yes extremely fickle you are ... then you're already taken ... so I'm pleased for your lady love! :))
Well, a rival for Mikey in this contest. :)) (Don't read this Mikey, I didn't mean it).
Covered some of the best here, not that I can tell who they are. Remind me not to tell you any secrets. :) A superb use of the limerick, a great sense of fun, entertaining to say the least. You stay 'true' to form right to the end. I've enjoyed very much. Now I have to read the gal's work. A contender for high placement. I wish you the best of luck. Warm Regards - Lovinia xoxo

I'm thinking there will be quite a variety of entries in this one, should be interesting!
Your kind wishes are much appreciated.

I get the 'Cat', 'Gloria' and 'Mikey' 'blanks, but I'm not sure about the others.
A few anapaestic meter issues, but generally excellent limerick flow and rhymes.
This is extremely clever and witty throughout, and must have taken a time to compose to such a high level.
It sure deserves to contend VERY strongly in my book.
Good luck and best wishes, Ray

Hi Ray, thanks for the positive comments.
It occurred to me that some people wouldn't have a clue who any of the "blanks" are, and for them I guess there's not much point to the poem at all. I was just having a bit of fun. Those people I have included have done nothing special to deserve my picking on them, they are just names I tend to see popping up on the forums or in reviews a fair bit.
I appreciate your kindness, and good wishes :)

Okay .................. this has got my head spinning. It's quite an unusual contest entry. The contest sounds fun. However, these 'blanks' have me a bit muddled -- not quite sure what to say.

Hi Curly. Thanks for the review, sorry if you found my entry confusing. With limericks, it's usual for lines 1,3 and 5 to rhyme, so you could pick a name that fits... or any you like really :)

oops... 1 , 2 and 5... in each verse, if it's multiverse.
