This is a delightful poem that makes me think of all the ups and downs within a relationship, in fact within a lifetime. Red on black makes it dramatic.
The artwork speaks of chaos and fire; the fiery realm of relationships perhaps. Well done.

The illustration looks a little gory, and the images of fogbound cliffs and deadly spikes lead me to believe that your speaker has shared romances similar to some of mine. Looks like an excellent entry for a love poem contest.
