This is such an understated terror. That adds to the chilling effect. The monster here is smooth and virtually unnoticed. But what horror he has triggered. A unique approach and I would say a winning one.

Goodness me. that is a scary one. Made more scary because it is possible. Can you imagine waking up and seeing you kids dead then finding out you did it? That is a monsterI would hate to come up against. Excellent writing and a fabulous contest entry. Good luck!

I really liked this.
I especially liked the restrained tone which makes the tale even more chilling , coupled with the matter of fact nature of the protagonist in the telling.
An excellent contender.

Bravo! This is terrrific. Better than a certain other one, which I thought was very good, it a bit too much at the end. This one should win. But then I say that a lot and find that others aren't as smart as I am. LOL! Well, good luck. See you on the other side. :)

This is fabulous - Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil - dueling spirits, one on each shoulder. This is extremely creative and horrific. You have taken it to a particularly sinister level.
