I loved everything about this poem! The title is awesome too. Wording goes great with the picture! The relaxing version of "Silent Night" is an added bonus! Merry Christmas to you! :)

A very nice Christmas poem and complimented by a sweet picture. Wise men still seek him is my favorite quote for the season.

It is time to put Christ back into Christmas and prayers back into school. This is very well written with a smooth flow of of words. Good imagery.

lovely presentation of your poem
your poem is in excellent 1/6/1 syllable count
the rhymes in all three lines are strong
nice alliteration in meek and mild
something tells me Jesus, meek and mild, would not be pleased with the people who are so confrontational over Christmas - I hear so much anger in people's comments about how Jesus is the reason for the season as they complain about those waging a war on this day when some people say holiday instead of Christmas or others display statues of Santa instead of creche scenes. I would like to think Christmas is a day of embracing everyone in good will and not worrying about if they are sufficiently reverent in their utterances and practices :-) Brooke

I agree, Brooke, and thanks for sharing your comments with me about it. I'm sure He's quite disgusted with a lot of the bickering and fighting pertaining to many different things pertaining to our culture and society. However, if someone gets offended by me telling them to have a Merry Christmas, then you can bet your sweet...bippy...that I'm gonna let them know about it. I have as much right to say it as they do not, and I'm tired of "Happy Holidays'" being shoved down my throat... just sayin... :}

Thanks, Winslow. Many people seem to be forgetting why we celebrate Christmas lately. I felt this would be as good a way as any to try and remind them, LOL.
It is wonderful to hear from you, my friend. I hope all's been well.
Thanks again! :)

Nice! We have to keep Him in Christmas, despite those who try to take it away from us and make it all about "things." His birth is the reason for the celebration.

I like the rhyming title and the message expressed is a strong and apt one.
The middle line, of course, also echoes a ell-knon carol, strengthening its appeal.
Good luck.
