Oh, this is a delightful haiku ...Though, believe pumpkin, surprising, to most people, to learn that it is actually a fruit, & really isn't a vegetable. Though, even so thought it was a good one for the Autumn & Halloween season...And, yes, October frost where I reside is almost upon us.

Some consider it both, so that's what I'm going with. :) Thank you for the wonderful review.

I don't think a pumpkin is a vegetable. According to available information it is a fruit. Other than that I thought this was really good.

The picture you selected is the perfect complement to your words. I admired your tiny haiku as a salute to Halloween. Best wishes in the contest- Joan

13 syllable frost Haiku personified. A clever poem for Halloween, frost, October, & pumpkins w/ a great toothless smile. Good luck in the contest.

In truth, the October frost aids greatly in the fall harvest as it kills the weeds in the way of the desired crop.. Well done with your entry, Buck

For us southern hemisphereans an October frost is usually a nasty surprise, well into spring - better hope any new tomato plants and tender peach blossoms are protected!

Your haiku makes a clever connection between the season and Halloween.

Good luck.
