Excellent thought-provoking message in this septolet. Recorded history has always been colored by the imagination of the recorder. Good work.

this is very well written, mystery writer, but you made a mistake, I'm not docking you because you have time to fix it before the contest. it's supposed to be seven lines instead of six. just make it
history turns
pages gilded
with man's
imagination.
that will solve the problem. just do it before the contest starts or it will be eliminated by the committee.

Your poem of 14 words in 7 lines divided into 2 sections follows the septolet structure well
a thoughtful observation, but you don't paint a picture as I look for in this form

Thanks, Brooke. You're right. Different philosophical perspectives don't really paint a picture for the average reader - I will do better when I write the next septolet and stay more with visuals and other senses rather than paint ideas. (that's what I get for being a Philosophy Major in College -lol) Appreciate your review. Art

This poem has very few words in it, but those words are quality. There is a lot of depth to those few words written here. The picture chimes in nicely here as well. I enjoyed reading this excellent piece of poetic art... John

This Septolet poem is a well thought out with the two verses dealing with the same subject applying different approach. Well chosen theme, and well delivered.

A really imaginative poem in this septuplet poetic contest! I,like the philosophical poem about the rise and fall of civilisations or empires! It seems that most regions of the world have had their time in the sum! Well done, good luck in the contest! Blessings, Roy.

I often wonder how things will look a few hundred years from now, and what those people will think of us. At least our current writings might then be classics to them :) Good luck in the contest.

History turns pages
gilded with man's
imagination .....so true here is a quote from the Braveheart movie
Narrator: I shall tell you of William Wallace. Historians from England will say I am a liar, but history is written by those who have hanged heroes
That's the gilding
God bless

Yes, that's the gilding. Lots of imaginative writers throughout history made their lives and times more interesting for future readers. Sometimes, we have to dig for the truth. Appreciate your comments. Cheers ..;o)
