I SEEM TO HAVE THOSE I WISH I STAYED IN BED DAYS AND I HAVE TO EAT CROW AND SAY I AM SORRY. I TEND TO GET IN OVER MY HEAD IN WRITING AND END UP SAYING SOMETHING I HAVE TO MAKES AMENDS FOR.

I know what you mean. I have found that 'crow' is better with Louisiana Hot sauce. LOL Thanks for the review. :-) Carolyn

When your day goes wrong
As it surely sometimes will
And your path through life
Leads tediously up-hill
Pause! And know that He is God

I seem to be having one if those days on a daily basis recently. But, just gotta pull forward and take one obstacle at a time,

Nicely done. John

It would be nice. I just tied for first on a prompt. Undoubtable faith. It's rewarding now and then to be sure, I have only had a few myself. So glad you liked this one. Have a great weekend. Hope you are doing well. :-) Carolyn

When we have learn to accept everything that comes our way - good or bad, and have learn not to question the wisdom of it all, then we can call ourselves enlightened by His Light, smiles.
Great write and well penned.
Cheerio, hugs, bro Ritchie. :))
Good luck.

Thanks Ritchie, my goal for this month is to enter contest, if I can write a suitable poem, or story, for the requirements given. I am glad you liked this one. It is good Tanka practice.. Love, Carolyn

That's about the only way I get through sometimes. He knows what he's doing. I like the peaceful picture and the true words of struggle. Sometimes it does feel as if it is all uphill. Great poem. Good luck in the contest.

Tanka with a message we all can use, Carolyn. I will think of it when having a bad day. Good rhyme in will and hill. Nicely done!

Kind regards

Sarah

Great message in your tanka poem Gracie, quite often in these awkward short poetic forms there isn't enough room for an articulate commentary! But you have a great message for this competition! Well done, Roy. PS I have an entry in this comp. "Life from death" if you don't review anything else I have a post, " Shadow of the storm" blessings, Roy.

This is a lovely spiritual poem that the author has created with this piece of writing. My day often goes wrong, but I have faith in God and the fact that there is a master plan and things will be all right in the end.

Good for you, in our 'hurry, scurry world,' it is good to 'pause' now and then. Have a great week-end my friend Tom.

Thanks GracieAnn, I decided if a contest came along I would try to respond to it. That's my mission this month. I shared a win with several others today, a 5-7-5 prompt. I am glad you liked this one, and I loved your alliteration in 'treasure trove of tankas', LOL. Good Night friend, :-) Carolyn

So much being said here, your Tanka is lovely. For God does not give us more than we can handle. We all have burdens to bare, but with God's help our load is so much lighter. Thank you for sharing and best of luck in the contest.

Thanks so much, glad you enjoyed this one.
I had some fresh green onions out of my little patch. I bet your garden is lovely. Think of me when you eat those fresh veggies. God is so good to us, isn't He?

    I do thank God everyday, but somehow I feel it isn't enough. My green beans are sprouting. I can't wait to cook them. :}
