This is another thriller from a master story-teller.
The author is dead-on with the title; it thrilled and horrified me. It would also have shocked me were I not aware of real-life projects resembling what is in the story.
This is not far-fetched regardless of the "fiction" categorization. How I wish we could uncover secret projects of governments and renegade groups working on clandestine projects behind fronted labs.
I gained from this writing. Not only was I entertained, I am further educated as well gaining new knowledge about candiru.
I noticed just a very minor glitch. The keys stumbled on "acknowledeged."

I enjoyed reading this story, only recently I saw on a nature program all about this vampire fish. It is a fascinating read, but I guess I would not expect anything else from your writing. It has left me with an interest to read your next chapter. Scientists in their labs, have to do terrible things sometimes, to get an end result that will be good for the masses.

I really must make a point of reading these earlier in the day and not as I have this one, just before bedtime. I don't often read horror but yours is in a class all its own, enjoyable in some bizarre sort of way. So well written and I was drawn in from the start, from the flesh falling in globs from liitle Kayla, clear thru the notes at the end. Looking forward (I think, lol) to more.

I think bio-terrorism is so terrifying for most people, they would prefer it remain in the background of their minds. Your story brings it front and center, Dean. And the horror you're able to convey! Well, you know you've managed to make my flesh crawl... a job well done.

if you are deliberately setting out to scare the shit out of me well you have succeeded in spades!! Mate if you couldn't write the best horror novel or script for a horror movie...well that is "Shit myself" brilliant!
I knew if I started reading the bloody thing I'd have stuffing nightmares. the graphics alone are now indelibly printed in my mind. No wonder you seem to enjoy my inane little verses of soft love and all that romantic crap its like I take you to a more normal world!! hahaha

I don't know how you think of these things, but you definitely have my attention. I love the way you explain everything in the authors notes because it helps me to understand more of the danger. Melting flesh, a little girl dying, all the makings of another brilliant story.
