beautiful A-b-c poem, love the artwork also...my sister lives in Yuma, and loves it, but has quite a time keeping flowers alive, though native flowers thrive...good luck in contest!

I have 'grown' to love the desert, however small the foliage may be. It is gorgeous. Haven't been to Yuma, I always think of the movie, 3;10 to Yuma.. A western. Thanks for this great review.

Great poem with a perfect picture to tell of this little flower, living in the desert sand. How pretty and vibrant they are and so pretty too.

This is a lovely, spring feeling poem, and I ready for spring. We are iced in again. I love daisies. I even had a little female poodle I named Daisy. She was my heart. She having a great time in Heaven with Daddy now. Good poem. God loves you and so do I.

Yes, I saw Arkansas and my part of Missouri look pretty much alike right now. I love Daisies too.. These were the tiniest I had ever seen. Be safe and thank you Janie, Love, Carolyn

this is very well written, Carolyn, it's hard to believe how little those daisys were. and the contrast to their surrounding. I enjoyed reading it. good luck in the contest.

Your poem is in good ABC Poem form
good alliterative grouping in daisy/desert/dry/delicate
nice alliteration in vibrant variance
I like the way you compare these delicate, colorful flowers with the rough and tumble tumble weeds :-) Brooke

Glad you enjoyed this one Brooke. This past trip we took, tumble weeds were everywhere. In New Mexico we were literally dodging them on the Interstate. Docile daisies and tumble weeds are a 'spectrum' apart. I appreciate that you noticed that. :-) Carolyn

Dear Carolyn - I love daisies - used to make daisy chain necklaces as a wee thing. Great format for the contest and I wish you lots of luck.
Thanks for sharing this beauty.

I enjoyed your ABC contest entry. The poem is so cute and the picture, too. I think that it is so nice that daisies actually grow in the sandy grounds of the desert. Best of luck in the contest.

When my son got married ten years ago, their wedding flowers were daisies. They were beautiful.
