Winter might just be a winner. That is if his brother blizzard stays away. Good luck in the contest. Brrr. Makes me cold. Blessings to you.

And blessings back to you . I've 'been colder', but this is certainly a winter that has outdone itself. Thanks Ben for this wonderful review, I hope you are right, I would love to win.

This is a creative and whimsical personification of Winter as a union worker. I like the line that says he forgot to set his timer to turn off at the correct time. Good luck to you in the contest, Jeanie Mercer

Outdone itself is an understatement, more like totally ravaged the country with no mercy. But you did a really great job in presenting this personifying poem

Great poem expressing winter's exasperation of his need to be winter and how through dialogue he renounces the need to be another season and is pleased to be who he is.
Quite interchangeable and a pleasure to read.

The use of winter's voice, chattering away like the inner workings of a human mind, is quite unique. Personification of anything can be trite, but I found the humour and introspective nature of the chattering to be almost believable and quite charming to read. I think your use of the onomatopoeia with "Brrrr" gave the winter its human face and from then on it worked.
It sleeps and makes decisions: I decided to snow for a couple of hours, then napped
It has lapses in concentration:I am forgetful
It sees its actions as organised work:How I could begin the transition without a double shift
This is a poem of fine imaginative qualities and great free from execution.

An original personification to a season of the year that we all wish were behind us. Good imagery and flow to your work. Don
