Not an easy task, GregoryCody, to come up with an Abecedarian poem ... especially a more serious one such as this.
You've clearly conveyed to the reader that God had a hand in sending her to you. I firmly believe things happen for a reason. There is a saying. Don't know if you have heard of it .... "People come into our lives for a Reason, a Season or a Lifetime" (perhaps I have mentioned this before?). The reason he sent her to you (as you indicated in your author notes) so that she inspires you to live. :) There's a huge difference between just being alive and actually living, isn't there.
Your poem depicts what was a broken man who has been saved by this special woman. Many vivid descriptions provided to your reader to let them see just how broken he was. At the end the reader cheers to know that he is now protected and feels safe and secure.
Well written. Fave line .... "trapped inside an endless swamp, armless to swim".
Great job!

Wow. I'm so impressed by this review. You really understood it. You "got" it. That is the biggest compliment one can receive. I think my wife said that quote to me actually! She said there are "seasons" of friendships. She definitely saved my life. She is my proof of God. Thank you so so very much for really divibg into this. It just means so much Connie. Thank you, with my heart.

Btw I tried to vote for this review. The site is acting up. Didn't show the screen. The next review you do I'll vote for you. You're great. This was a fantastic review.

Just your saying so is thanks enough, GregoryCody! :). I appreciate that very much :). I too have been experiencing troubles with the site lately ... Very slow to respond. I had this happen to me once before. My computer guy told me that the problem most likely lies with Java. The last time, once Java updated, all was ok again. Go figure! Have a great day!

being able to regain self control of your life is a blessing and to be able to share it with some one is also a wonderful thing to live for

doubt crumbled down on dawn,
Feet, frightened
Writing this type of poems takes some skill and I think you did very well. All the best in the contest.

An excellent job of utilizing the whole alphabet in this one. For me this was incredibly descriptive but it's meaning was more obscure to me than much of your previous writings.

Thanks Steve. It was about God sending my wife to find me when I was in a dark place. He sent the flock to find me. Thank you for reading! Really thank you.
