Love your pic. Deer are so beautiful and I enjoy watching them when I have the rare opportunity to see one. I enjoyed reading your essay and can relate to your fondness for these beautiful animals.

This essay is introduced through our universal knowledge of teh movie Bambi. With that intro we import the beauty of life in nature, the life and death story of survival in the forest, and the overall image of the circle of life. That allows you to then personalize your connection with the deer and include your anti-hunting message. This brief essay packs a lot and does a good job.

I like Bambi's as well and was introduced to them in the same way, through the movie when I was a child. We only have imported Red Deer here, but still the same, I love them. I really wish people wouldn't hunt them.
I loved your story, good luck with the competition.

All deer are beautiful. I'm just more familiar with the whitetail. I married a hunter but I'm thankful he relized they are more beautiful alive and hunting can be done with a camera. Thanks for reading and for your great review.

Very well done. I loved the chiseled to perfection part. I too love seeing these beautiful creatures. Especially as you said the fawns with their Moms.

I'm glad there are others out there who admire animals for their beauty. The fawns are adorable. So often there are twins. Than you so much for the review and comments.

As a big fan of the whitetail deer myself, I applaud this lovely reminder. If they are too plentiful, they will invade gardens, not fearing the people who own the house where they eat the flower beds and bean plants. My aunt can't shoot 'em fast enough, having lived on a farm where they got into her huge gardens. The large family lived on venison. Even now with her tiny house and tiny garden in that small country town, they eat half of what she tries to grow. Finally, this year she gave up. Now she just admires them from her window as they eat the weeds! LOL!

You are right. As much as I like the deer, I do get irritated that they enjoy my hastas so much. We did put a fence around the garden and I'd give up a few hostas for a decent picture. LOL
Thanks so much for the great review.

You've written a wonderful description of the deer. I also enjoyed reading how special these animals are with you, going back to when you first watched the movie about Bambi. Not only is your essay enjoyable but informative as well. Thank you for sharing and best of luck to you in the contest. Connie
