I could not find one mistake, Nancy!! What a lovely story, I love westerns with a tale to them and you have given me a wonderful read with this one. The rhythm his brilliant and you are like me, you go with the sound of the flow. Best way I think!! Really wonderful poem/story and a really good read. xsx

I had a couple but my friends were kind enough to spot them. There have been a couple of Western movies with this plot. One was "Connager" and the other "Hondo." Hondo starred John Wayne.
Both very good Westerns. Western movies were the only stories my husband would watch. He was a cowboy of sorts. I could probably write western poems all the way. Down in Vegas he looked so cute in his Cowboy outfit and cut off Jeans! Boots and shorts ! Can you imagine? He was so good looking he could pull it off. Nancy, I think this is a great story from beginning to end, submerged within a poem. I liked the suspense from the beginning to the happy ever after ending. Very sweet, Carole

sure you meant messages. I enjoyed this. I guess the
girl named Kate became the man's wife. That's how I
interpreted it.

Really enjoyable. Flows quite well. You got me hooked right off and I didn't want to stop until it all turned out well. The only "mistake" I noticed is in phrase 5 - you have "massages"; I'm sure you meant "messages". Keep up the good work.
