I loved this amethyst dawn-amethyst being one of my favourite stones. And you and I both love horses. I just don't ride anymore. Well written Nonet about something close to your heart. I would suggest to try and center it for a better layout.

HI Ine! I didn't know you once rode.! Wow! I am slowly getting to where I have trouble getting on the horse. I have to use a step! LOL~ To think I could once just jump up without a saddle even. Boy. I will see about centering it? I usually don't. I read where pros never do! AS IF I AM A PRO poet! LOL! Hugs Ine! Susan

I did not ride anymore when I needed steps to get on a horse. My best friend used to use them though,

HOw nice. You sound so in love with your four legged friends as much as I am with my four legged friends. But mine are the dog, how I love her. This was a great fun poem to read. Thanks.

Hi!! How are you? I so know how you feel about your dog...ours has been diagnosed with chronic bronchitis, potentially fatal too. His lungs are just covered with spots. So, more tests needed....up to 2K~cost. I just can't win. I need to find homes for all my pets...then I could avoid this heartache. But I won't. I love them too much...give yours a hug for me?? xoxo, Susan

Susan,
This is an excellent poem about riding on the high range. I enjoyed this post and found nothing to criticize. A fanstorian, dportwood, has often written about working on a modern ranch, but I haven't seen him around for a while.

Hi Dave! Thank you...I remember Duane. He is out west somewhere. He's probably busy. SO much work. I liked his poems too! Thanks again Dave! Suse

Hi, Susan. This is a fantastic poem from start to finish and I wouldn't be surprised but you would win your contest with it. I would suggest one thing here..Take it or leave it:
"My horse and me" (My horse and I)
btw, Suze...I just posted another chapter...34..."Bewilderment" (wink) It is still worth decent money for another day.

HI Bob! Thanks! I will read more of your book tonight if I can. I think I bookcased it. ? I had the 'my horse and I', and someone told me to use me.? So, who knows. I'm sure glad you are here...Thanks again Bob! Susan

This is such a lovely nonet and a marvelous entry for this contest. I especially love the subject. You pulled me in immediately with:
Before an amethyst dawn I go...
Absolutely awesome imagery with that line.
I enjoyed this immensely and wish you all the best in the contest too.

Think I'll sit this ride out as it's a bit early for me. It wouldn't make much difference what time of day as I'd rather be here or working.
Enjoy your ride, Buck

I can't ride right now either Buck. Maybe later this summer...but when in suburbia it's hard to do anything. Hope you have some peace where you are...thank you for another kind note...Susan

You paint a beautiful, fog-shrouded picture, Suse. Riding the high reaches is a unique experience. Great picture. Beautiful nonet. :) Nancy

Hi Nancy! How are you? I hope the storms didn't hit your area. I can never remember where people live anymore. Thank you for this wonderful review...let me know how things are. Susan

We had afew rumbles, but the bad stuff passed north of us. We've been pretty lucky with our weather here. We're all great. :) Nancy

A perfect theme for this format as a large animal and its rider merge to go from a two to a one. Love the idea of riding above the clouds. Good luck in the contest.

Hi Judian! Thank you! I can't ride yet, but hope to ?? What will stop me will be people along the road roaring by real fast and revving motors at me. I am healing. Slow but sure? I have a great scar! LOL! Thank you for this lovely note...xoxo, Susan
