this poem is just brilliant, I am not surprised at all that it has won, It reads so easy the words just flow down the page, and one can feel a part of the play between Molly and teddy.
A very enjoyable read.
Congratulations on your deserved win

Thanks, Mary.
This is possibly my favourite of all the children's poems I have written.

Well deserving of this first place finish. This is an outstanding rendition that flows with ease along the page. These whimsical adventures make for an exceptional series - best of fortunes in this endeavor. Well done.

A brilliantly delightful poetic tale. Never since Pooh and Paddington has a teddy bear's tale of adventure been told which such rich imagination. If this is any indication I think your book will be a best seller.

Well! Imagine being compared to those two teddy-bear greats. I am sure Ted will be waving his cutlass with piratical glee when I tell him.

Your poem brings the 'teddy' to life in great cadence and pace.
I could picture the adventures in my minds eye and see the final results of a long playful day as the two main characters ended their day together.
Well done!

I am so not surprised this won, Steve. It is utterly charming. I adore the teddy's POV and the sweet way you've described the magical imagination of a child.
It gave me the nicest feeling as I read - warm and cozy. My son, who is now 32, still has the little orange bear that he loved as a child. He never slept without it.
Now, though, he has a wife. LOL!
Great work. A true pleasure to read.

Such a sweet story. Reminds me of the movie, "Finding Neverland" Imagination is what's missing from today's kids. You made Teddy come alive. Great rhyming throughout. Enjoyed immensely. Les

Thanks Les.
Not quite up to the wonderful Peter Pan, perhaps, but a step in the right direction, I hope.

Hello Kiwisteveh,
Lovely piece of Children Poetry with equally lovely rhyming scheme and lively imagery!
Wording is simple and perfectly matching the theme having captivating flow throughout the poem.
".....Now into our 'jamas and ready for bed;
Is there time for one story for Molly and Ted?
Excellent!

Dear Steve, I can see why you won. great job on this story. I am glad you are making a children's book. That is wonderful. I think My grand daughter, Gracelynd, would love a book like this when she is a little older. She is only 2 now. Thanks for sharing, Shirley

Dear Steve, It is time for me to start reading the stories to her. I will see her next week. I will be Texas bound! I think I need an eighteen wheeler just to take her gifts to her. :) Have a great night, Shirley

Steve , this is a wonderfully written poem for children, I was almost sat in my classroom again hearing these words being read out loud by my teacher, it also provides an invaluable way of introducing poems to youngsters, wonderful characters, wonderful story, wonderful poetry.
