This piece encourages deep reflection. I could appreciate what you were trying to do with the formatting, that staircase effect. I think it was fairly useful and strengthened the overall impact of the writing. Congratulations on your work!

I think for all of, when I came to Christ, or rather He came to me, I wasn't expecting it, my life reached new depths and concerns, but He turned my mourning into dancing, my despair into hope, my downward flight unto the mountain top. May the peace and love of God in Christ Jesus be with you and yours at this auspicious time Nill,, to you and yours from me and mine, blessings Roy.

I was worried you wouldn't read this. i've been busy entering contests this week. Another just a few minutes ago. Thank you, Roy. You have no idea what it means to me to have you review what I write and post. Only about one out of 30 writes is made public. But this one was very personal. A blessed Christmas. BTW, I'm going to Dallas for Christmas. Oh, dear. -Bill

This poem seemed to pick up steam as it went along. You start with an image of the manger, and the wise men and shepherds standing around it, and then you get carried away on this staircase to your own approach to the manger by God. It ends up being a very personal and individual connection to God. It illustrates how God works with each individual story to bring you to paradise. estory

For each of us the journey is different. Some may find the pathway difficult and to others it's a simple walk. Regardless, the ultimate reward is to keep moving forward and enter the door ...His light will lead us there if we climb the stairs.
Smiles, Carol

Thanks, Carol, for your read and review. I was attempting to validate our own way to the manger. However that is for each of us, to not make the journey is the tragedy. -Bill

-Very nice artwork and presentation, William.
-Your notes are appreciated.
-I like the style of your poem and the thoughts you share.
-A very good opening verse, followed by your thoughts
for "love, peace, and hope."
-A very good image about God's "secret stairway..."
and a good conclusion to your poem.
-Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
-A good entry for the contest; good luck and hope you do well.

This is a beautifully written, Christmas poem, man I enjoyed reading it very much. Your presentation is very nice. We all have to come to that point where we realize that Jesus indeed was the virgin, born son of Mary and that he was sent by God himself to be Savior in our Lord. Once we realize that then we can also come to the foot of the Cross and place our lives in the hands of our Lord and Savior.Patricia.

This is such a gently spoken and humble verse that touches the heart. Its introspection is honest and soul-searching and, with the graphics of the stairway, it makes a complete and original read. Well done and good luck, William. Warm wishes Debbie

New journey or old, there is always room for a faithful soul searching for his way home!
Nice "stairs" at the end of your poem...
There surely are "many ways to the manger..."
Amazing Grace awaits!
