Any time someone started off a conversation with "This is going to be a long story," I ran. Secrets can't be kept if you tell only one person, which makes it no longer a secret. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

That will be interesting, Gretchen. If Miranda is going to tell Waylon all about his dad, and them money and why she doesn't want him to know, I wonder how he'd take it. Miranda's journal will be a good way to get things out without letting anyone else know her secrets. I'm at an age now, where I sometimes forget how things really were. I wish I'd written a journal all those years ago and kept it up. Too late now. This was another really good chapter, my friend. It's so easy to become one of them the way you write. That will be interesting, Gretchen. If Miranda is going to tell Waylon all about his dad, and them money and why she doesn't want him to know, I wonder how he'd take it. Miranda's journal will be a good way to get things out without letting anyone else know her secrets. I'm at an age now, where I sometimes forget how things really were. I have a journal. Write down day to day things. Discuss my writing and art with myself. Gratitude and disappointment. Nothing fancy, just a little release valve. Lol. It's never too late to start. Thank you so much for this. Gretchen

So Miranda is going to be a writer too, just like her creator. I'm glad she is making Waylon but I'm sure everyone will know any way. Wasn't there a reporter there when the couple gave you the check. Something like that is big news. I enjoyed the chapter and look forward to more.

Another fine chapter where we learn more about Miranda's inner thoughts by her dialogue with her own reflection. She's straightforward and honest, and her doubts and fears about various courses of action are similar to how I would be thinking so I relate to her. Very well written.

I can understand how hard it is for her to tell Waylon. If Dougie finds out he will do everything he can to take it away from her. One method might involve her giving him the money in exchange for the custody of Waylon. O wonder if she should tell Waylon. He seems to like everyone, including his dad.
