Yes, I am content and happy with my life. I haven't had the surgery yet but I am preparing for it diligently. Thanks for your kind words about my writing skills. This means a lot to me.

it. LOL I am already out of sixes or I would give them to you. You have really improved in your writing since your outlook and health has improved as well. Just like, my writing got better when I left the soul sucking soon to be ex. I enjoy reading you. Kudos! Karen

Thanks, Karen, for the virtual six and for telling me you see improvement in my writing. My outlook and health still need improvement, but for the most part, I am satisfied with what I have.

With all my health issues all my life, I learned to look for little joys. Everyone it seems to want big stuff, big ideas. Not me. I don't need much to be happy. Would I like a place of my own. Sure, But, I do not have to have it to be happy in my life.

Excellent philosophy Jesse. My mom, who didn't have much, especially compared to her five sisters always said, we may not have much but..... we have enough.

Wisdom is sorely needed in a world where we are all programmed to strive for more. "More" may be more than "enough" -- and those who are content with their lot in life are not wrong. They are at peace, and far more likely than the ultra-rich to consider lending a hand to those struggling far more than we are.
So timely as we ponder what to be thankful for and enter the "gift-giving" season. A smile, a pat on the back, the gift of our time... The gifts that cost nothing make others rich!
All those commercials would like us not to embrace your philosophy...
It's all about profit margins to them.
Humanity! Let us focus on that and the world will blossom!

What a great message! Thanks so much for this poem which is perfect for Thanksgiving. Compared to the majority of the rest of the world, we Americans have more than enough. And in our age-won wisdom, we know we are enough just as we are. Our only debt is to love others just like God said.

You are enough. God shares what He has with us. What He wants us to do is to share this wealth with others. Some do and some don't. God will take care of that in the end. I'm sure He will. Thank you for sharing this post with us.
