Danni is pretty impressive when she wants to convince someone about something. Garth didn't do a bad job either. Donatelli didn't do so well as Jenna thinks he is crazy about Danni, who is out of the running as she is a ghost. Should be interesting when he turns up to take Jenna out to dinner.

Jenna is skeptical because of the interaction she has had with Matthew in the past from the moment she found out about Eleanor, but she will learn to trust him, I hope. Thanks for the thoughts.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story despite not reading the other chapters. It's wickedly funny and full of mystery. I think Danni is the BOSS! I look forward to reading more.

Hurrah! I am thrilled you enjoyed this chapter regardless that you just popped in. I think you will get a kick out of the next two as well. The story is winding down, but there is lots of action still taking place. Thank you so much.

I'm glad to see that Danni's detective abilities and contributions are taken seriously. Danni is even helpful in bringing Jenna and Matthew together. Now that Johan has given up names and Garth's team is running the names through a database, we are in for more action as Garth and Matthew confront the criminals. Your attention to detail is phenomenal.

"Johan straightened from his slouched position as the two lawmen entered the room and nodded at the men." ( the two lawmen entered the room and nodded at what men? You could say...Johan straightened from his slouched position as the two lawmen entered the room. Johan [or He] nodded at the men.

I can see that things are coming to a head that Johan's coming to the party, very much like Danni's wisdom came to him, and there's hope for Donatello and Jenna, and more importantly a grandchild for Eleanor, and some succour of relationship for him, this is beautifully written Carol, good story weaving, well done, blessings Roy

I think the thoughts of grandchildren for Eleanor are much further down the roa, but a buding romance sounds possible. Thanks for always stopping by to read and comment. It's always appreciated.

I'm pretty sure Jenna can land Matthew. Wouldn't a safe be safer than behind a painting. I don't understand this.

"It's okay," he quickly reassured her. It's nothing that Garth can't handle." (missing beginning quotation mark, "It's)

Her presence surprised him, but the sight of her suddenly melted any thoughts of interrogating Johan. (Wouldn't happen. A man like Matthew, nope the work would come first. He'd be happy to see her, but the melting away part, nope.)

Garth smiled as he teased Matthew. "You know how to bait the line (Matthew,)

Eleanor knows things she can't reveal, including that the enforcer could crack the safe. And for a minute, I think Matthew could be drawn into Jenna.... especially since he was confident Danni had already done the work. LOL

    thanks as always.

I'm struggling with that because you've painted Matthew as no nonsense. He would be happy to see her, but not forget who he had in the box and why.

Noah's a no nonsense guy too but he breaks a lot of the rules. I guess it's just how we see it as we write. Every one views the characters differently. thanks for the thoughts.

True Noah is breaking rules, but if he had Chen in the box interrogating him, he would walk out and ignore because of Sami. It is your story.
