An interesting, curious, complex chapter. Jane sounds like a real strange person. I found this chapter a bit difficult until I sorted out who was who. Some complex expressions in there as well. No spags.

You found a way to use the word "nincompoop" in a story - kudos to you! I'm going to have to look up the precise meaning of that word:-)
So, while the boys in the mall are crushing on Rebekah, Jane is crushing on Rachelle. This is an interesting side of Jane that we don't see in Rachelle's version of the story. That's why I hope everyone is reading both narratives
This was fun, Gretchen. I'm guessing the "surprise" is that Jane bought Rachelle's dress? I guess we'll find out.
