THIS was not expected from you, since you largely write biographically and then I saw the contest was Sci-Fi which I don;t take an interest in, meaning I don't go the movies any longer since eveeything (aliens, zombies, etc) seem to have a place. That said it was well written.

Thank you Tom. You are right, I don't particular care of fiction either. Still I will try any kind of writing if to see if I can learn to do it. I was surprised that many claimed they didn't realize it was fiction until almost the end. You were smart to look first.

Brilliant! And extremely well written. This is publishing ready as far as I'm concerned.
It helped FanStorians because we all know you are writing your Mississippi memoir. We immediately bought into the story's credibility right up to the hundreds of red six-legged creatures. (Then just a little skepticism - smiley face here).

Thank you Wayne. I really appreciate you comments. I wasn't aure if I could Sci-fi. I more comfortable with non-fiction. But I was surprised some people thought it was not fiction for a while. I really appreciate the six stars.

This is a wonderful story that comes across as totally believable. It was worthy of the day of the triffids or some such and really deserves to do well in the contest. After the contest I would suggest you set out to expand it into a novella, it really is that good. kay

Ric, thank you. I'm surprised that several people have said they thought it was believable. I'm very pleased to know I was able to make it sound real. I'm not comfortable writing non fictiion but I like to see if I can learn to write it. I thought I'd answered this before but it didn't clear.
