Tucker (The Last Harrah Part-12)

That massacre happened quick if Tucker was only seconds behind El Mencho.
Avoided eye contact indicates Farnsworth felt no remorse for the slaughtered.
A broken branch is probably a likely story.
Farnsworth knew better than retaliate when Tucker shoved him to the ground.
The way Tucker defined Farnsworth spot on as to how he grew up believing he was entitled.
Give me a slice of that $1,536,000,000.
"The Trucks with palleted" should be The trucks with palleted.
"planes rear window" should be plane's rear window.
A happily-ever-after ending.

Thank you so much, Brett, for your extra special six-star review, kind words, comments, and correction. And yes, both battles were quick, at the house, and the airport. If there are enough men and fire power, they don?t last long. LOL. I appreciate YOU, my friend!

Wow!!! Loved it. The best episode of all. The dialogue is so beleivable and fabulous. Loved the menu that you grew up on (I mean Tucker of coarse lol).
The end was so emotional it made me cry. I love happy endings.
A SENSATIONAL write. Another winner of course. Love Jen. X

Thank you so much, Jen, for your extra special six-star review and kind word. I wanted to find a way to give it a happy ending, yet I wanted to leave things open so I could go back to it if my withdrawals were too great. LOL. Like you I'm a sucker for happy endings. Too much of life ends on bad notes. I'm so glad you liked it. You've made my week. I appreciate YOU, today and always!

Well, you did it! Gave everyone an appropriate ending and happiness for the good guys. The interesting one was Farnsworth because he wanted to think himself as a good guy and there was hope for him when he allied himself briefly with Tucker but in the end, he was a villain at heart. Great storytelling. You also know planes very well in addition to cats!
I really liked: "Daniel's own thoughts--sharp as a fillet knife--slice by slice, Tucker's soul dissected without remorse or recrimination. "
I also loved your Frost quote "Dancing is a vertical expression, of horizonal desire."
in control now, ben dejo?" (pendejo ?) The comedian Fluffy has a lot of fun with that word.

Thank you so much, Helen, for your extra special six-star review and kind words. I'm glad you liked my foolishness and have hung in there with it for so long. Actually, the word is written both ways, pendejo, and bendejo, but I'm glad you said something because it doesn't have a space in between syllables. Bendejo isn't used that often in Spanish. But I trust your judgement more than mine, so I'll change it to a P. LOL. I appreciate YOU!

I looked it up - it's a swear word of some sort, right? In Mexican Spanish - no clue about other versions of Spanish. That's what Mr. Fluffy said.

Thank you for rousing good close to the Tucker story.
I arrived here in Plano yesterday with two weeks of packed life. It also means at least two weeks of unpacking. My back is not well pleased, but on the whole I am a happy camper. The Twins are 5 minutes away and Kathi is 30 minutes away. They already are making a plan to help me. Thanks for the great story.
I want another:-) Karen

Thank you so much, Karen, for your extra special six-star review and kind words. I hope you like how I gave it a happy ending and left it open so it can be brought back. LOL. Glad things are going good for you and you're around family. Hope you get everything done and get back to writing soon. :-) It's always a pleasure read your work and get your reviews. I appreciate YOU!

Finales are surely difficult to write but you wrapped the story up and tied it with a big golden bow !!! I am going to miss Tucker. I suspect you will too.
There's a slightly tongue in cheek quality to the write that acts as a counterweight.to the violence. In a strange way, that makes it true to life.

Thank you so much, Julia, for your kind words and generous review. It's extra special to me that you read my foolishness, which I'm sure is way outside your preference zone. I've been wanting to end this for a long time, just couldn't figure out how to. I wanted a happy ending, and as you've noticed, I left it open so I can bring him back someday. LOL.
I appreciate YOU!

My late husband ( God rest his soul) was fond of teasing me about my love for what he called ? rubbish books? viz. thrillers, detective fiction, fantasy LOL
This was always my relaxation from the intellectual challenges of a demanding career!
Looking forward to the return of Tucker in due course
Blessings, Julia

Thank you so much, Patricia, for your generous review and kind words. It's always especially nice when someone like you takes time out to read something that I'm sure isn't in your preferred zone. I'm glad it entertained you a little. Much appreciated!

Hi Ric,
I wish there were a real life Tucker to take on the cartels, since this government doesn't seem to be interested in it. I wonder how many more people have to die because of drugs, and how many more illegals will cross in to this country before someone says enough is enough. Perhaps it's too late now, I don't know. Well done on your story.
Have a blessed day.

Thank you so much, Tom, for your extra special six-star review and kind words. Sadly, laws have been made for criminals and those who can pay off the right people. Between the cartels, the criminals' government and law supporters, and the panty waists unwilling to stand for anything but gay rights and black lives matter, our country and our morals have taken us back to the days of Sodom and Gomorrah. I appreciate your encouraging review!

Hey Ric,
you don't mince words do you? I like that. We see eye to eye on these things. I feel like we've been sold out by the government that is supposed to be looking out for us. Yesterday, a fellow who was filling in for the pastor mentioned that America is on a downhill slide because we no longer fear God and His laws. I believe he's right. When we no longer attend churches, or teach our children Godly values or open our bibles except for special occasions what message does that send? We wouldn't go without eating, yet we go without spiritual nourishment, and it's showing in the way our country is being run. God help us.
Blessings,
Tom

So, you finally got your ending. Are you happy with it? Only asking because you said you couldn't figure out a strong ending. I liked it. You made me feel like I was watching a movie. I never knew what was going to happen because that's the kind of writer you are. You don't write from a preplanned script. I love surprises so I enjoy guessing. But I do crave a happy ending to books. Or an open ending. I think, after some time, Tucker could come back and maybe be a PI down in Mexico. He had that Magnum quality. Tough, aloof and smartassed, but always does the right thing. Great novel. Any plans to publish? I think you should at least think about it. Gretchen

Thank you so much, Gretchen, for your extra special six-star review and kind words. I've had fun with Tucker but I'm glad to get a break from the action. This started with a two or three part story at the most. But once it got going, I couldn't figure out how to get out of it. I'm just glad I could wind it up with a happy ending; and of course, leave it so I can go back to it if I ever want to. Thanks for hanging in there with me for so long and I'm glad I could entertain you a bit. I appreciate YOU!

I am happy to learn that Tucker and Tammy Jo will be together. I liked the ending to this, but I want to read and sequel. Something somewhere has to happen that requires Tucker's expertise. LOL
Daniel avoided eye contact and continued his explanation. "A branch broke (comma after 'explanation,')
Tucker turned away, still mouthing. "You already had (comma after 'mouthing,')
Tucker's face, pointing and snarling. "You protect you (snarking,')
Farnsworth stepped up behind El Mencho and said. "Who's in control now, ben dejo?" (said,)

Thanks, Barb, for your generous review and suggestions. As you already know, I write really fast to keep the action up, and I almost never do much polishing or editing. It's a terrible habit, but if I work at it too much, it takes all the fun out of writing for me. LOL. Much appreciated!

This is an excellent way to end a story. You put some fact moving excitement into your tailes. So we've seen the last of Farnworth and Tammy an Tucker are off the see the world with no lack of cash. Tucker deserves a break but he is too good a character to retire forever. I suspected you modeled him after yourself and you confirmed it. He's got a concious and her left home young and headed for the race tract tack room. I love the story.

Thank you so much, Beth, for your extra special six-star review and kind words. I'm so glad you liked the ending. It's sure taken me long enough to finally get there. LOL. I like to think I know this character very well. And as I'm sure you noticed: I found a happy ending, plus, I left it open so that I can go back should I ever want to. I'm so glad you liked it. I appreciate reading your stories and getting your wonderful reviews!
