Pieces of glass ,broken from a whole as a result of celebration(there is irony in it) gets smoothened by the rough seas and storms (there is irony here too ) speak a story of resilience. Every trials make us stro nger .The metaphor is brilliant ...very well done..

That's a beautiful personification of a simple piece of glass. And you gave it a voice that makes us also relate to its resilience, patience, and the smoothed edges gained by enduring the waves and the sands of life.

I really enjoyed reading this beautiful poem. Wonderful use of personification with lovely imagery.
It speaks to the strength of the human spirit as we go through life, sometimes broken and sharp but eventually "softened by the brine"Very nice.

I love this. This way the glass reflects on the past and embraces the present is lovely. I like the way the glass changes in character as well as physically.

Nice complementary picture art choice.
"I clinked in celebration." Good onomatopoeia and personification.
"my sharpness soothed
and smoothed by salt." Good 's' words alliteration.
"Each storm
teaches a lesson" I wish we humans could learn this, as well.
Well written.

This was great, Jess. The parallels to a sharp-edged, caustic person who crashes and burns but later learns the lessons of getting along in life by being humbled helps him to endure as a more pleasant and likable person.
Beautifully told through the personification of the shard of glass in the ocean and on the beach. - Jim

I love sea glass. Used to collect them on our trips to Bermuda with our daughter to make jewelry. Pieces of history gifted by the sea. Your poem highlights their beauty and resilience.

I love these personification verses and am in awe of your ability to create so many in such a short time. This one is truly beautiful. I know that because it makes me respect and honour the material in your skilful hands or, rather, tumbling to the shore and completing its impressive cycle. How clever as it also represents the human emotion of resilience! Well done! Debbie xo

That is really good I realised I was reading about glass by the time I reached the bottom but I had to go back and read again with glass in mind. To finish off I read a third time keeping glass at the back of my mind to appreciate the metaphor. Great I think a 6 for your skill.
