This is beautiful, Rachelle. What she's gone through is obviously horrible, but she discusses it so openly and honestly, and you do an excellent job as interviewer with questions that open doors and guide her through. Lea does sound like an amazing woman with a deep well of strength that has gotten her this far and will undoubtedly take her farther. It appears that your guidance and support have been very beneficial. I'm so glad she's found writing as an outlet and a way of dealing with all she's faced and continues to face. There are definitely times when FanStory, as an outlet and as a community, can be better than therapy.

I always love it so much when you review me. You're so gracious and comprehensive and make it obvious how seriously you take what you're saying. Thank you for this very, very much. This made me feel great, and it will do the same for Lea, I am sure. xo

I found this interview to be quite revealing and helpful in understanding Lea's disappointment and pain, along with the hurtful relationship she still endures with her family. I must say, the interview questions were well thought out and allowed Lea to explain her former and current circumstances freely. Nice job!

Sometimes those who have the most challenging life turn out to be fantastic people like Lea. Then again, I have seen others who have had every privilege life can offer turn out to be real jerks. Lea could so easily have gone the other way and lost herself to drugs or alcohol like her mother. I admire Lea very much.

We feel the same, you and I, Prettybluebirds. Some of the most generous people I know have very little, and some of the most privileged are SO unbelievably stingy.
Thank you for this really nice review. I could not appreciate it more. xo

Rachelle, that was an amazing interview, and what a good friend you are and will continue to be to her! That is a boost she can count on--a constant, positive ray of sunshine in her life.
I have read her, too, and wondered how in the world she survived.
I think you just did a marvelous thing for her, a star in your crown! And the writing, certainly All Time Best quality!

You sweet talker, you!
I knew you would see her as an amazing woman, too. She is remarkable.
Thanks for the glowing review. I appreciate how warm and gracious you always are to me. And generous! That extra star is wonderful. Thanks, Katharine. xo

you're most welcome.

This is a terrific interview, first, and also an amazing subject to read about. There is no estimating the effect of not being believed. With the horrible treatment at the hands of "parents" added to a conspiracy to suppress it, comes the realization that no one believes her. That final brick would sink most people.

Isn't that the truth! Yet, as one of the reviewers said, Lea's like a phoenix, the way she can just rise from it and still be this warm and remarkable creature, nice to everyone, kind, congenial. She is simply amazing in my eyes.
Thank you very much, Bill, for this terrific review. So validating and encouraging. I appreciate it, and I know Lea does, as well. xo

A truly fantastic write and I'd love to know more. Is this book available for purchase. The interview you've presented with Lea really opens up my desire to know more about Lea.
Are there any further excerpts available on Fanstory. I really want to know more.
You write so well.

Yes! The entire book is in Lea's portfolio. And, of course, if you fan her, you'll get notified when she writes the chapters each day in her second book in the series, "Spectre."
I appreciate this enthusiastic review very much, Bob. Thank you. xo

Well done Rachelle. It's great to find that so many others appreciate what Lea is doing, and I also have loved that three part structure to each episode. I have been a fan of Lea since I joined last June - I think she was the first I 'fanned'. I think her poetry is quite superb and have reminded her frequently that her talent overrides all the crap she has taken from others. A brilliant interview. Thank you. x

This is so wonderful to know! You've been on board, then, since Day One with her and are familiar with every facet of this journey then. Thank you for such a great review and for being such a devoted and encouraging "fan." That's so validating! xoxo

I cannot express how well this interview is written. Your heart, Rachelle, and Lea's heart are both genuine and open.
Abuse can only happen when someone without a conscious chooses to act repulsively. Most victims of that behavior are left to suffer for the rest of their lives through flashbacks and deep fears.
Although Lea's writing is autobiographical and mine is fictional poetry, the issues of both involve being abused and figuring out how to best address and handle what should be done about it.
Several of my poems were written years ago and I have since edited them to fit into the book I am in the process of posting. While some of my artwork was for other projects, I redirected it to my current effort. A lot of the artwork still needs to be created. Although I am not a great artist, I manage to get done what needs to be seen.
Again, this interview is a terrific posting.
Forever blessings to you and Lea.
I, too, am looking forward to Lea publishing her books one day.

Okay, I am awash in tears here, Daylily, for this absolutely beautiful, oh-so affirming review. Thank you. Coming from someone who, I fear, has "seen it all," this really means the world. Thank you times a million zillion. xoxo

Thanks for presenting this interview with Lea. I like that you are introducing us to a relatively new writer and sharing the story behind the pages of her novel. I wish her a great response from publishers, and continued strength as she writes the next section of her life. Blessings. Carol

Thanks, Carol. This autobiography of hers just keeps getting better. She's begun Book 2 now, and I just read the newest chapter. The girl is so immensely talented!!
I appreciate your warm and encouraging review very much. xoxo

I will try to begin book 2 then. I've seen so many instances of abuse of children that I have a difficult time reading about it.

I totally understand. Many others have mentioned that in their reviews, and I totally absorb the seriousness of their statement. xoxo

Thank you for sharing this beautiful interview and enlightenment about Lea.
I am awed that she has turned out do well after what she has endured. I had a family member who was not so lucky and succumbed to het demons from her mental abuse from het Dad.
I hope Lea continues writing and it continues to help her.
Thanks for sharing this experience with us.

Thank you for this very encouraging and gracious review, gramalot8. I am as impressed by Lea as you. HOW could a person suffer through such torment and come out of it so unflappable and KIND and WARM? She is the exception, for sure, rather than the rule. I am sorry to read about your family member who suffered at the hands of her father. The teacher in me feels absolutely GUTTED by those kinds of situations. When so many couples would give ANYTHING to have a child and would be wonderful to him or her...and then there are parents who mistreat their progeny so much, they end up with mental illnesses. Honestly, when I rule the world, gramalot8, it's going to be SOO so much better!!
Thanks again for this lovely review. xoxo
