I know Paul, aren't they great? You know how Jimmy Fortune is my favorite. And now that the Statler brothers no longer are together. (I was hoping for a reunion, but just wouldn't be the same without Harold) I love Jimmy on his own, or sometimes he is great with Daily and Vincent.
Anyway, I had those on there and then got the pm from Verna asking for three of her faves but didn't give me any singers, just songs. So I picked another Jimmy for Amazing grace and I ended up with five. I could not take any of these down. And I love the song, I Believe. I can play it on my Dulcimer even while I sing along to it. I love that we have the same taste in music. Do you get the RFD channel? That's where we watch it, but have been to many concerts.

I can pick up some of the southern gospel at times, usually late at night. Two of my very favorite CD's are by Daily and Vincent. I also have a few of Rhonda's CD's.

We saw them at Renfro Valley? If you have never been there, you are missing out. We saw Jimmy F,
T. Graham Brown, Daily & Vincent all in one night there.
Plus it?s just amazing little town. We were at the bluegrass festival in Tennessee when Rhonda & her brothers dad died. She was called away suddenly. It was only days apart we saw D&V and Rhonda, so he would have died Sept 2014.

Sounds like you got good taste in music, but just so you know that the only music I couldn't handle is bluegrass.

There's some bluegrass that I don't take to, but I've got two CD's of bluegrass by D&V that is just great.

Awe, yes, they have a way of not making it so Bill Monroe like. Lol...
They are the reason why I went on that excursion that year. They have a bass singer now that I do not care for. He is tall, dark hair, sings awesome, but is hard to watch because he acts like a big shot, like its his show.
It's almost demeaning to what those two guys stand for.

Oh, oh. We've finally found something that we don't agree on. That bass singer has an unbelievable voice. Have you heard him do solos with some of Merle songs?

Lol, No, don't give up on our fate too fast yet. Read what I said, that he sings well. I think he is an awesome singer. But watch him on stage. I haven't seen him lately, so maybe they have put an end to it. He would walk out while they were singing and come and go thru the whole time. It was so rude. There was a certain arrogance about him that is so uncharacteristic of the rest of the band. I think women pick up on this because it is a quality we hate in men. But I agree he is a wonderful singer. LOL. Hey, we are on a roll, he's not going to ruin that for our common interest here. Hahahaha!

Hey there Alie, I was going to come looking for you in about a half hour to ask you what songs you would like on your poem? I will be doing it either for tomorrow or the next day. It has been a lot lately so I just want to make sure I have time to do you justice.

Thank you so very much for the kind words for Verna's. It is so rewarding to write something that you know won't be forgotten about. That just one person will love it forever. That is a treasure to me, so I hope I can do the same for you. I promise I will do the best I can. Please let me know what songs you would like. I usually do 2 or 3 but could do more. Verna had so many because I had already put two on there and she asked for three more. But I just want you happy. Also I will try to post it and then let you know, so you can look right away to let me know if there are any changes you want made.

Thanks , Verna, for your sweet words for your poem, and of course for being so special. I love that your kids names are Debra and Dennis, as it brought back so many sweet memories of when my little brother was still alive,

He was only 47 when he was killed on the freeway in a blizzard, and because my oldest brother died at 43 of a heart, I could feel your pain with losing your siblings.
