Thanks Debi, for a another good birthday poem that lets us get to know one more fanstory member better. You learn so much about them. She had so many adventures. Did she have some of these with her families before the divorces. Did she have children from both marriages.
I would like to go on a sailing/racing yacht.

The rhymes and meter are not forced and they flow well.

I love that you two are both from the same place and that you sometimes speak the language back and forth. My granddaughter just got back from Spain, actually all of Europe, but spent more time in Spain and took more pictures there. She said Spain was her absolute favorite and she plans to go back. From her photos I can see why it was her favorite. Amazing scenery and art. Thanks again my dear friend.

Another tribute poem by debi. How original. I wonder if you should just write a weekly news column for Fanstory? You could include a gossip column. A Who's Who section. An illness and obituary column. A comic strip. And a food section. All revolving around you and your friends. . . This way you would not label everything poetry and call it like it is.

Yes Judith, this poem for Ulla did seem like it was jam packed full of info about her which is exactly what people who care about learning about others want, to make more friends is part of what it's all about. This was the info Ulla chose to share. I am dumbfounded how that can bother another fellow author. Everyone who is part of FS has a choice to read or not, to care about others here or not, and get to know more friends who have become more like a second family. Or Not!

This was also supposed to be a way for me to say thank you to all the people who have been reviewing me, even knowing I couldn't review many back for health reasons. My way to give something back even if it was just a smile for them having their own poem on their birthday.

It maybe started off as a thank you to some but when others showed an interest, I felt maybe this was part of why God sent me here, to spread a little kindness. Then as more responded I let all know I would love to do for any here but just to let me know. I have tons of other material and ideas that would get me farther with my writing, but I felt it was where God wanted me right now.

I thought you and I were friends because even though you rarely reviewed me I always cared a lot about you . So I remember asking you too if you were interested.

So for anyone to take something that was meant to be out of love and caring and out of kindness, thats was only being done to give someone the same feeling that I had the first time someone cared enough to write a poem for me, and have them belittle it, it makes me wonder why. Having the choice to ignore or kick sand in the face of the person doing a kind gesture is either sour grapes or just among a few others that are so miserable in their own skin that they just like to spread that kind of venom. Why would someone receiving a poem and having it shared with the community on their birthday bother someone else?

If that is what anyone sees a birthday poem as, and what they get out of it is equivalent to a gossip column, then I truly feel sorry for them. I know I don't owe anyone an explanation, but these nasty comments are so characteristic of the world we live in. The reason the Bible says someday that good will be called bad and the bad good.
I know exactly where my heart is and why. And for that reason, I don't apologize to anyone.

When i entrust someone with a friendship? It is because I know them. Period. I do not know and I do not believe a writing group is a platform garnering friendships like reviews. Furthermore I do not agree with your assessment that my comment was cruel. If you had a sense of humor about yourself and what you do you would laugh.

Judith, I have a great sense of humor and I laugh at myself all the time. But I always make sure I never hurt anyone else.
And if you gave it a chance, you would see that it is easier to see people's souls thru a platform like this than in a physical nature sometimes.
Just because you can see someone doesn't mean you can sense and feel who they are. I find it easier with people I talk to everyday here. But that is thru my walk with God and part of the reason He sent me here.

This is silly. That isn't ike me to be so touchy over a review. The truth is I don't like animosity between myself and people I care about. I may have been overly sensitive towards your review because I have covid and it took a lot for me to keep my obligation that I made. I do apologize for being so sensitive. I dont like where I left it and is not like me.
