Hello Poet,
This is a marvelous humorous poem, Humor is under-appreciated on Fanstory.
There is a reason why Shakespeare wrote comedies, as well as tragedies, and Mark Twain wrote serious, as well as humorous novels.
They are both essential aspects of life.
The poem itself has excellent meter and creative rhyming.
Love your "went to the Jim today" and many other lines.
Well done.

This was very funny. I liked the renaming the John to the Jim. That's very clever. I never used to take naps but each year I get older, I seem to increase my quota for daytime relief. This was an excellent poem about the pros and cons of getting old or becoming seen ager. Good luck with your prompt. Gretchen

I think in some respects we become more adamant as we age and determined to have our own way, our personality does not change, we just look older! Ha ha ha, love the humour in these words, love Dolly x

This is a fun verse with a great title and strong message advocating all the merits of old age. I enjoyed reading it although I would have enjoyed it still more if it had been a bit shorter and condensed so that flow (and concentration!), which started well, didn't get lost later on. That said, an eye-catching read guaranteed to put a smile on your face! Good luck! Debbie
