A beautiful poem.
-Life has it's ebb and flows.
-Peace flows through your lines and shines hope, to not surrender to darkness.
-Readers may feel a special light reflected through your poem.
All the best for 2023. A true joy to read you poem.

This twelve-word poem, I Know, has the proper formatting and reminds the readers that there is still a powerful God beyond what we may be able to see today. Neat.

Yes, we need to remember that no matter what happens the sun still shines. I love this ekphrastic poem and the picture is definitely a winner for this great expressive poetic piece.
Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful new year!

-It is a beautiful image to write about
with a very nice presentation, kahpot.
-You wrote a very good poem with a good topic.
-Effective imagery with "dark waters" and
"calm foundations." A good contrast, as well.
-A very good concluding line that inspires
with the shining sun representing hope.
-We need that in the new hear; hope
it is a good one for you!!!

This is a lovely verse that (obviously) takes the artwork and gives it a deeper meaning. Well done on theme selection and taking your reader in a different direction. I love the Japanese art, but your poem is timeless and relates to so many other meanings as well. Loved it!

A splendid Japanese print or woodcut. Your words are perfect for the subject. And you are right - tsunami shakes the foundations and the sun shines brightly.

Author:
Your poem can have many meanings. One is that God can be our sun during turbulent times. It can also speak of man's resilience in the face of tragedy or sadness.
Excellent Club challenge entry.
Happy New Year!
Blessings,
Cindy

What a super ekphrastic poem! It is so perfect for the picture and has a true wisdom in the words. I love that in the midst of turmoil, the sun still shines. It is our beacon in the dark times, as though it offers us a silver lining of hope that things will be alright. Really delightful to make such a wise, strong and profound statement in 12 words!
