Wendy- Thanks of course with or Veterans Day coming up soon the lies my focus of the US Military, but my heart goes out all nations military who fought for democracy.

I will definitely honor a veteran soldier hero if he or she appears. They fight for our precious freedom and sometimes we take it for granted bur we shouldn't. Excellent work!

There are so many occupations that spend their life in service some dangerous, police, emergency workers, firemen and women, and even miners deep in the ground, and yet, very little mention is made of them, but at least you've lauded your fighting men, beautifully written and vividly presented, well done, blessings Roy

I like that this says we should honor all veterans for their willingness to serve and fight for us. I think the red white and blue font colors is aptly patriotic as is the show of the patches in the artwork.
I do think the first line in the last stanza is long and hard to understand.
It also inhibits the flow of the poem.
Good luck in the contest.

This is excellently done! I love the presentation with the flag colors changing to coincide with the letters of thank a veteran. This is a rhymers nightmare and yet you do it with seeming ease. The rhyme sequence is difficult to do and you did this marvelously!

I like the line about veterans rarely bragging. The exception is too each other. Than the stories pour out and grow like a Chia Pet in a greenhouse.
