In your life's retinue of weird characters, Ray seems the weirdest. You seemed to be a stabling influence on his life. I'd never heard of a heart restarting because of an accident! I won't let it beg my question of how the doctors knew it had stopped in the first place. What's important is that you can certainly tell a tale and keep me hanging onto every word.
He described how spent some time in a Dubai jail. [I'll join the others who told you you left out "he" in this sentence.]
"Hello, Ray, long time no time." [Did you intend, "long time no time." or "long time no see."?]
A heckova story!

Jay, thank you for reading, I did make the edits. "Long time, no time" means, (in Texan) long time no see, no talk, but like no time has passed. Terry.

Terry, I always enjoy your stories; most of them I can relate to because of being from Texas, too (as you know by now). What a character Ray was! Not a dull moment with him. As usual, great descriptive words and phrases. I certainly am learning more about character descriptions in this type of story telling. Thank you. Wanda:)

What a character Terry, you certainly know how to pick your friends, retiring to that bar after an escapade of dangerous proportions with him, it sounds exciting but dangerous knocking around with him. I had a similar friend too. Well done, blessings Roy

I enjoyed your two stories, Terry. Both were interesting
with great details. I liked the one about Dubai if I had to
pick one. I knew a lot about Red Adair, but not everything
you shared. I never knew the $$$$$$$$$ of his company
putting out those tremendous fires. I didn't know about Ray
being on TIME magazine. I believe that was a time when it
chose real heroes for their covers, not just anyone like today.
Thanks for sharing your great memories, Jan

Wow, Ray sounds like he lived an adventurous life. I remember those times when the oil wells were ablaze.
Based on the danger he faced on the job, it's no wonder he lived large. Any day could have been his last.
Sounds like you had a great relationship. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for sharing Ray with us. He is definitely one interesting man.
But He did not suffer fools gladly. (lower case 'h' on 'he')
He described how spent some time in a Dubai jail. (how HE spent)

Obviously to you Ray was a celebrity, larger than life who led an extraordinary life of action and adventure. It seems to me that your own life by association at least, has been equally exciting and adventure filled. Ray's life could become an action adventure move, but I think, just maybe, so could yours.

Nomi, thank you for the six stars. My life has been very boring compared to Ray. I was amazed he lived as long as he did. Thank you for reading. Terry
