This was a clever way to personalize the birthday/May day theme. Cute twosome in the picture. I liked the way it was styled and the female day part. What woman couldn't use one of those? Great poem. Gretchen

May Day always reminds me of children dancing around a MayPole and laughing, filled with happiness. Your poem speaks of Mel in the exact same way...a person filled with goodness and lots of smiles. A beautiful tribute.

This is a warm and friendly family poem with a good rhyme scheme which helps engage the reader. I enjoyed the idea of a smile scaring away winter and welcoming in spring.

    Gail, you are a doll for catching that typo. I am surprised that happened as I am usually more careful, but auto correct sometimes puts it in and I don't catch it.
