How mankind has journeyed the path of life. It's the spirit within each of us that leads us where we go. Those that have trekked before, leave their blood alone the wayside. That blood is part of our own, for we live a thousand lives and die many more. That is a good entry for the Abecdarian Poem Contest. Thank you for sharing.

I enjoyed reading this unique style of poetry. You did a nice job with the prompt. I am unfamiliar this is style, but I responded positively to the pace. Your writing is descriptive and drew me in immediately.

K.L. Thank you --this was my first go at this poetic prompt. It is so amazing to see the after-effects that these prompts lead us writers.
Comment from Pam Lonsdale
Wow! Writing a poem using all 26 letters in order has to be challenging. It would be easy to lose sight of the consistency of the story in order to jam a sentence in there that begins with the correct letter. You did an amazing job of following the prompt to a T (pun intended) while staying on-point with your story.
And I learned a new word today - stridden. I have never seen it used before.
Very nice job.

This is a very difficult form of poem to write, but I must say you have achieved it with excellent results. Quite apart from being alphabetically accurate, the theme and flow of the verse are beautiful. You reached paradise, and Z, perfectly. :-)

This is a lovely picture that perfectly fits the story. I see it is not in the Contest. I did not think so. This is the work of a genius. Thank you for posting such a piece of masterful art.

I have never seen this done so well as you have in creating this! I am not really a poet and when I first saw this, I wondered if it was worth reading as I have read a few and didn't understand them. This is wonderfully easy to understand (although I'll have to look up xeric). Great job of writing.
