OMG I love it.

She grabbed a jug of yummy drink
That yesterday, she made.
Poured lemon Kool-Aid in a cup,
And little Chris got "laid."

That is too funny! I know my daughter (now a grown woman) once told me when she was five, that Kenny Chesney was such a silly man because he sang a song that said, "Everything gets hotter when the sun goes down." She shook her head and said, "Doesn't he understand that it gets colder outside when the sun goes down? He is a silly man."
LOL
She has long since learned the truth but we still like to remind her once in a while.
Great poem.

It's cute, and I can only imagine the face on Grandma Pat when he muttered it originally as well as the joyful expression when he "got laid." ...............................

This is such a cute story in poem format! It's even cuter now that I know it's true. Thank you so much for sharing this poem/story. Best of luck in the contest.

Thank you. My nephew was a very precocious child with a mind of his own. and coincidentally, or not, he still talks like he did in the poem, shortening the words to the last syllable. Lol I don't know why he has always done that.
