Wonderful entry for the Supernatural Fiction Story writing prompt contest. Good form fulfils the contest requirements. The plot is easy to follow and engaging. Good character development.
My grandson is 4, I would lose my mind if something like this happened to him. I like the ending twist. A golden retriever angel.
Well done, good luck in the contest.

What a great contest entry! The story grabs the reader at the first and one cannot quit until we know who is Gary. I love it and it certainly fits every contest rule. Good luck. ann

This is a beautiful story, Wendy. It seemed so real and quite believable when I was reading it, and I was very relieved when little Shara was found. Well done. Good luck in the contest.

This is different Wendy, there's nothing like a faithful dog, even a talking dog, of course I thought it was a an Angel, but they don't usually come with names. This is beautiful Wendy, you believe in the souls of animals. Well done, blessings Roy

Thank you Roy. I know God can use animals and He even makes them speak at times, for His purposes. I am very glad you enjoyed my story.

I love this story. I think it could be hard to beat in the contest, good luck.
I knew you were going for a ghost, but the twist to a dog, that is brilliant! A golden retriever no less. Outstanding work!

Hi there,
I think you did a very good job with this piece. The pacing is good and there's a lot of tension generated quite quickly in the proceedings. It's a nice conclusion of sorts too.
Nice one

This story, How Could He?, tells the supernatural story of the small child kept out of harm's way by a friendly ghost dog with communication abilities coming in handy. Good dog.

That sent goosebumps all up my arms and neck. I do believe in things like that happening, no one knows for sure what happens when we die. We know we'll follow Jesus, but what else is possible? I loved this story, it's a great contest entry and I wish you the best of luck! :)) Sandra xx

Thank you so much Sandra! Love your review. Yes, the world beyond life on earth is not even imaginable ... and God could easily use a loved dog in a supernatural way if He chose to. I appreciate your review and also your good wishes.
