Heartrending plea powerfully written. Dreadful circumstances--chilling to contemplate the likely outcome if the family doesn't come up with $$$$ ASAP.

I am getting slower by the second and every time I think I have a handle on being polite and telling everyone how much their efforts and words mean to me (truly mean to me) I discover I have just fallen further behind. I appreciate that people actually enjoy what spills from my aging brain and couldn't find more happiness than sharing my writing. I thank you for your time and thoughts.
Sending a basket of smiles and hugs and apologies... especially to those I've left waiting for days.
HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!
May cupid sprinkle you with much joy!
Always, Carol

Carol, I am shocked and horrified. I know your health system is different, but here our public health system treats everyone the same, free of charge for the most part. Even the destitute. Those with private health insurance can have a private hospital and private room, choice of doctors etc. How very very sad, for all of you. I will continue to pray on for her for a miracle, but I find it unbelievable that your system is so money-based! How very unjust!

I will certainly pray for her and her son. What I don't understand is how America doesn't have a decent social medical program, that will provide medical treatment for those that simply can't afford it, to my knowledge most western democracies have it for their citizens. Sorry for my rant Carol, but Elaine and I were a little worried in America, visiting our daughter and family, I had stitches removed in New York, while there, it cost $125 dollars, the same procedure wouldn't have cost a penny here, it's so sad. Well done, blessings Roy

Despite the fact it's difficult these days to get a doctor's appointment, and non-emergency surgeries are postponed, all because of COVID, I'm so thankful that our medical system in Canada covers just about anything we need, especially if it's life-saving. I couldn't imagine living in a country where only the rich get to live. One reason we won't be spending winters in the US anymore is because of the expense of extra health-care insurance we'd require if we got sick while there. My heart goes out to you and Adrianna, Carol.

With egg on my face, I shamefully thank you for finding the time to read my post and to respond. I have taken two days of reading and answering posts and am still 50 away.
Smiles and hugs and greatly appreciated.

You are most welcome, Carol. :)

I am sorry for what Arianna is going through and I pray that somehow the Lord will intervene and give her the healing she needs. My son lives in the US and I know that health care is very expensive there. We are blessed here in Canada and often take it for granted.

I am sorry I don't have a six. This makes me mad as hell! Thing is, this is not an isolated case. I have an immune disorder and I found it very hard taking the two shot Moderna and it's lost of side effects. I most likely will not take the booster seeing as I was just diagnosed with heart inflammation and I can't imagine where it came from other than the shot. The shots are useless in Covid transmission anyway. A fact that seems to be overlooked. I also read where these shots are causing thousands of spontaneous abortions. I think what we're witnessing here is overreaching government and crimes against humanity. They have no right, and do not have the proper reasoning or cause to force this upon a free society. Period.
My suggestion: Get a GoFundMe app to get her the help she needs now. Contact her local church, synagogue, house of faith, employer, etc, etc.
Second: Every hospital has a benevolent fund. Ask to speak to the person in charge. I did, and was granted mercy with my deceased mother's outstanding oncology bill totaling $48,000. All her debt was erased.
Prayers for you all,
Sally XOs

Insurance companies run our healthcare system today, and until the chicken sh - - doctors are willing to stand up to them, nothing will change. But doctors are like people in general, they are afraid to stand up alone (rightfully so) and they can't get everyone to build a group. Doctors no longer treat us with their expertise, they are forced to pacify the insurance companies first. I'm so sorry Arianna, her family, and all of you who love her are having to watch this unfold. You all are in my prayers!

What a heartfelt post, Carol. You are right about the $$$$$$$ if one gets sick or worse. I will pray for Ariana, her family, and you and your family. You gave readers great details about the bottom line. It is beyond belief the hospitals/doctors have decided on this kind of treatment(?). What a heart-breaking post.
Respectfully, Jan
