I really enjoyed this cute children's poem, Steve. Your rhymes and meter are perfect, except for the meter in the last line of the fourth stanza. Maybe the word "biddy" could be "hen" or "thing." Anyway, this is a great poem. I see that it won the contest. Congratulations.

Thnks, Sally
I actually patched this together in haste with the deadline only minutes away, so the outcome was pleasing and the odd hiccup understandable! I will take a look at that line...

Hi kiwisteveh
I can see why you won the contest, this poem is fun and adorable. I know little kids would absolutely love this! I do and I'm a big one! Love the adventures and beautiful flowing rhymes. There is so much charm in ths delightful rhymed story. I couldn't give you anything less than a six.
You most definitely deserve it!
Congratulations on winning the contest! :o) Helvi

Thanks, Helvi - haven't seen you around for a while...
I have been delighted to hear from a few reviewers that they have kid-tested this successfully - my own grand-daughter is too far away, alas!

So cute. I really liked this, and can imagine having read this type of verse to my kids when they were growing up.
Guess I will have to save it for the grandkids ears.
Nicely done.

Congratulations on winning this contest. I can see why you won. It's a delightful romp through the day's thoughts of Molly's teddy bear. Very nice cadence, easy to read with pleasant rhymes.
A winner, for sure!

Superb! Perfect flow in a poem reporting a day in the life of a teddy bear. Children's world of play, their fantasy worlds, the humour in the overall poem, and especially in some lines, the affection of the poet for his subject, the love between Molly and her Ted, inseparable in their 'daydreams' as also through the night - all these make the poem a special treat. Beautiful ending.Loved it.

Thank you!
I had no available children to try it out on so went with my gut. I will write a special version for my grand-daughter next time I see her...
