A great poem!!!!!!!!! I really enjoyed the freedom and virtual trip of this poem. It was wonderful to be swept away into oblivion by such well thought words. I take my hat off to this wonderful poem!!!!!!!!!

This was so horrible and scary to me. I felt complete fear and desperation, unable to stop the dream. This touched me so much I don't have adequate words to describe what I'm feeling. I loved the flow and your picture sure fit your words on this one. Many Blessings

GREAT poem! Your rhyming in this poem is wonderful and it leads to good cadence. It is kinda mesmerizing; one line just flows right into the next. Billy

Wow, what an awesome poem you have shared. I can see why this would only work in the form of a poem. You vivid descriptions, haunting imagery and overall style was of the highest quality. It was a bit long but certainly worth the time I took to read it. Awesome job!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, this is a recurring dream? How creepy! But fascinating at the same time. I have long, complicated dreams too. Mine aren't usually this dark, but I can still relate. You've done well weaving your dream(s) into poetry. Thanks for sharing this, and also for the added author notes. Helps me compare the type with the piece. :) Cheers!

A bright light shining on a dark place - seven sonnets - should perhaps better be titled as A Crown of Thorns - truly remarkable flowing and rhyming effortlessly one to the other with so many apt descriptive words and phrases - sonnets are so deceptively simple but not so to write (I've tried) - lengthy but enjoyable read...regards Brad.

Thanks, Brad - really appreciate it. Sonnets are one of those forms that take a while to get the hang of, but once you do it all starts to work beautifully. SO glad you enjoyed it :-)

Well written and technique is very good.
It silently screams depression and that is serious and a medical problem not to be dealt with lightly.
The world here is cold and lonely and perhaps writing lets you embrcae the light.
Flows well though it is long.

Thank you, Bear :-). Writing definitely offers the opportunity for catharsis, far more than some realise, I think.

Woah!so lengthy!!
But worth reading,actually.
Long poems,if not grasping enough, are never read completely.
This one,very sad though,but a great piece!
I felt it was little confusing at times but I could figure it out as an overall work.
Very sad!
But a good work!!Rhyming, construction, flow, all too well!
And keep up the good hope, with a celestial vision!!!:)

Wow this is very long and it tells a story more so. It is a story of darkness maybe your darkness and those nights.. Am I right? You did a lot of work on here. Some of it I got and then some of it got obscured to me for what reason I can not say now. But I want you to know I stuck with it and you did a great job in it the story poem sonnet
Blessings
ps I hope you do not have those dark nights anymore

Thank you, Magics :-). I've been getting this nightmare as long as I can remember, since I was very young, so about thirty years. It's a lot rarer these days though, which is good!
