This is a wonderful loop poem which describes a lot of the fantasy charaters that inspire writing. Which include the muses of mythlogy that your artwork came from. You are right that things that are not penned are not remembered.
Congrats on the well deserved win in the contest,
Keep writing

Hi June. The last line is the crux of your poem for me:
"Dragons who dwell deep in the caverns of a writer's mind"
To explore the places where our muse leads us is bravery and we often find a good story/poem there. Your loop poem is interesting and innovative. Good luck in the contest. Marilyn

Stepping out of my comfort zone a little and just went with the flow. Living on the coast here in Massachusetts it?s easy to get into myths and legends of sea monsters and witches! Thanks for sharing your insightful comments.

I know. I grew up not far from Salem, MA.

Your photo compliments your Loop Poetry. I wish you well in the contest. Loved the poem - so true. Brought back memories of the nineteen women hanged in Salem. They found out it was LSD from harvesting corn that was infected. Such a loss of life. A very well written poem with much mystery and interest. Well done poet.

A very well-written loop poem about mermaids and dragons that is created by imagination, and we can take it to any possible scenario we can possibly think about.

The use of metaphors throughout this poem enhances the rhythm and cadence. It holds a rather mysterious theme that makes me wonder how deep your meaning.

Thank you for dropping by to read and share your insights. This can be as deep as you are willing to delve. Plumbing the depths of our memory banks can loosen bits and pieces long buried to float up and enhance our creativity as writers. I live near Essex where old New England sailors have claimed for centuries to have seen sea monsters and work in Salem where they used to hang witches for simple wearing lace. I just went with the flow and the result was this loop poem.

Awesome loop poem Miss June.
I love the way it comes down to
the writer, the creator of all that
we could possibly imagine.
A stunning picture too!
Blessings...

Thanks for stopping by to read and review. I work in Salem and live near Essex here in Massachusetts. So, we're surrounded by old New England tales of witches, serpents and have actually worked on an historical site reputed to be haunted by the sheriff who hung the witches. So, lots of food for here for creative writing!

I would LOVE that! I used to live on Otis AFB near Falmouth! Loved the area!
