No! No! No!

I've never heard of a non-stressful Christmas.

My wife is the most stressed out person you're ever likely to meet but I have convinced her that this Christmas she should be 'laid-back'. It has been our mantra for the past few weeks as she starts her fussing and fuming and buying of bits and bobs for the big day.

Of course there was absolutely no chance of success with my plan, although amazingly she has taken some notice. Christmas Eve no, though and all bets are off. I have a list of chores 20 feet long and she is in full panic mode! Ah well, maybe next year!

Enjoyed your poem which describes our place fairly accurately, although we have dogs as well as cats charging past the tree...

Merry Christmas - laid-back, laid-back, laid-back!!!

Steve

Loved it. Yes, cats can have lots of fun with the christmas trees. I once had two dogs who also had a lot of fun with my christmas tree. It was stuffed with chocolate and candy bars all ready for the children. Big dog, the leader pushed the tree over and little dog, the nippy one, grabbed the chocolates and ran. Like the idea of fastening the tree to the wall. This was a great poem, lots of fun and a very good entry for the competition. Have a lovely Christmas. Genya

I would be finding a place for cats outside or a least after the tree was down. Glad it comes, but once a year when it comes to what your poem says.

Thank you for your comments and your generous rating. My cats are really too old to bring down our tree any more. They just lay under it and swat at the lower ornaments. Lazy cats.
